Lack of carts, and in store baskets has made shopping here very inconvenient and not worth the time to do anything in the store. The items in the store are often dirty and disorganized as well. Price is good but it doesn't make up for the fact of what it's lacking.

I've been shopping at the Capilano Wal-Mart for 20+years. But since the new manager took over, things are going down hill. First started with the makeup dept. You go in and grab one thing with out paying for it in that dept. Yesterday I need to use the bathroom bad but, the cleaner refuse to let me in and was rude. Very bad customer service. Instead I had to go to the back were it's always dirty and more often than not toilets are plugged. And then when I found my friend with the cart and my bags the Manager said no Duffle bags in the store. My friend told him it was a shopping bag. But the manager would not here of it. My bag is a Costco shopping bag with smaller bags in it. How is a person to put their items their buying in? Never the let I went and grab my bags back. This is not good customer service. Get rid of the Manager.

I came into Walmart on 98 ave and 50 street looking to get help with a photo item. Marilyn and Margarex where so helpful, kind, and grateful that i came to their store. The have pride in being part of the Walmart team. The helpful hints and understanding of what i needed and wanted was amazing. I am so grateful for there thoughtfulness and patience with me in making sure the card was perfect. Koodo's to Walmart for hiring these two individual's. The cost of these items was exceptional.Allen

This used to be my favourite location, but the last couple years it has just been on a steady decline. The shelves are never full anymore, there are products that are always out. When I’ve asked about them, they will give me a date they’re supposed to be in and then that day rolls around and they aren’t. When I ask about it, they just say, oh we didn’t get it, or oh I don’t see that on the order, etc. I see yellow vests, whatever that is standing around all the time while the shelves are a disaster, everything out of its place all the time, so you’re constantly checking prices. Speaking of, half the price checker machines don’t work, so make sure you have the app. The bags are now locked up, which sure is probably from people stealing bags, but locking them up, rather than training staff is just an inconvenience for the customer. A lot of the staff have no knowledge of the store or the departments. If a customer asks where something is and they don’t know, most of them just say, “I don’t know.” And that’s it, they walk away. I’ve seen a person ask about a charging block in the electronics department, and the girl didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. (Not her fault, she shouldn’t have been put in that dept.) Honestly there’s much more but I can’t put it all here. I will say the staff is always kind and polite, and I said above ‘most’ of the staff because, of course, there are some great people. It all comes down to this store being poorly managed.

Right now it a death trap in the parking lot, just about every parking lot light except one nearer the store is out. It a black zone and then you have store standards out grabbing carts and stringing across the lot blocking the drive through lane in the black. Not only is it dangerous for the driver and pedestrians but also for the guy getting the carts. And please don't say that they ll went out the same time because if that was the case then the 3 poles that are working would be out as well.

My first trip there was disappointing, I just moved into the neighborhood and needed to do some shopping, my last items were from the makeup department, the worker immediately grabbed all of my items and told me that I had to pay for them right there, no problem except she had no cash register. I was very angry and bought everything from Shoppers Drug Store instead.

$40 for a passport photo!!! Yikes. Go to ama or anywhere else. I was already waiting so they got me but don't make my mistake. I also see that online Walmart shows passport pictures are $13. Small markup by the worker ?

Electronics did answer the phone, however they were uninformative and very generic when it came to listing laptop specs. I won’t even bother driving in now because of how vague they were, you’d think for $300+ they would read you specs from a-z but no, or at least the basics but no they’re super lazy! Staff needs re-training.

Customer service in this store is brutal . Went to purchase a switch game this morning .After I approached The associate in Electronics to get a game , she grabbed her phone and was texting while someone was talking to her in her foreign language. I got the game and paid for it .After I said excuse me your phone is supposes to be in your locker . She responded with its for emergency purposes I can have it . Didn't seem like a emergency phone call.This is not the first time I have experienced issues in this storeAnyways called the manager once I left and she was rude as well.Won't be returning here anytime soon

My son and I stop in at 10pm last night to grab a couple quick things we were refused entry and was told they close at 10 now even though the store hours on the Walmart website say 11. A bunch of people were denied entry and the staff was very rude about it.

last night my son and I went to grab a couple items even though the Walmart website goggle say they close at 11 we were denied entry by rude staff saying they have new hours that they close at 10. my wife has been trying to call them for an hour and they won't answer at customer service. there were many other people how were denied entry. the staff was very rude. I will be leaving reviews everywhere I can because this is ridulous. We were also told the store hours would be changed today on Google and their website but nothings changed it still says 11.

Food is always close to expiry, produce especially. Moldy fruit in the produce department are a regular thing. Staff are rude a lot of the times or completely clueless about inventory. The bar is not high for a Walmart and this one somehow manages to miss it completely. Also at least half the staff does not speak English. I understand the challenge of learning a new language but maybe you should refrain from hiring people into a customer service role if they cant understand simple sentences. I can see why people pay the price premium at Safeway

I've shopped at this Walmart for years but today I had a very bizarre experience with a staff member.My partner and I were stopping to pick up an item from the pharmacy department when we stopped to grab an item from the cosmetics department. After selecting our purchase we walked toward the pharmacy to finish our visit when we were physically blocked by a member of the staff from leaving the cosmetics section. We politely asked to move by her but she purposely ignored us until another member of the staff caught her eye.We then were able to squeeze by her where she demanded that we pay for our item from the cosmetic department immediately. We asked her if we could return the item to the shelf and continue shopping but instead she kept asking us questions like "are you going to pay for that?". My partner and I were thoroughly confused and frustrated by this encounter. Eventually we handed the item to the staff member (who's hand was outstretched throughout the entirety of this debacle) who then promptly disappeared back into the cosmetic section.We left immediately for the London Drugs in the same parking lot where we had a pleasant shopping experience. Being made to feel like a criminal in a store I've frequented for years is a shame and I don't believe I'll be coming back again.

My name is Nellie, I am regular shopper at this Walmart located in Capilano. I recommend this store to anyone who likes to shop at Walmart for many reasons. The manager, assistant managers, security staff, cashiers, helpers and other employees are not only well trained but welcome their shoppers with genuine welcome day in and day out. Today I was helped by an employee of Walmart in the bedding/blanket section. His name is Jas. He is well trained, knowledgeable of the products on the shelf, very polite and answered all my questions with confidence about their comforters and blankets. whenever I shop at this Walmart, I walk out of this store with gratitude and a great sense of satisfaction. Today's cashier at terminal #WMTKP002183 deserves a special thanks for her superb service. Jas and today's cashier not only provided excellent customer service but made sure others felt welcome. A strongmanagement helps their employees' morale high but also builds confidence in their loyal customers and their employees. I'm wishing the management and all their employees the best in 2023 and years to follow. Keeping up good work in these challenging times is your strength.

The staff is very rude store manager Bart is uptight and comes of a bit rude. The stores cleanly-ness is not a par and the shelves are never stocked or there in the middle of isles. I am caucasian Canadian citizen that gets treated like a minority in this store by the employees And staff.
