We absolutely love Totem for used sports equipment! It’s such a convenient and easy process to sell back our gear, and the prices they offer feel fair. They have a fantastic selection of both new and used items, all reasonably priced, which is perfect for outfitting our family. We also trust them for getting our skates sharpened and snowboards waxed—they do a great job every time. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasant experience. Totem is definitely our go-to spot for all things sports equipment!

I've had great experiences from Totem previously, but when they were closed on Christmas Eve, and we had some time for errands, I decided to try to get my kids new skis at an alternate option in NorthWest Edmonton. I regretted that decision and ended up back at Totem after Christmas. While the store was very busy with a long line to pay, the attitude and knowledge of the workers was excellent, and the lines moved quickly.

What an effective and efficient machine of customer service they have here.
I came here to get a pair of skates sharpened and to trade in another pair of skates to get a pair that better fit. The parking lot was packed, there were lots of people inside and I was expecting to be waiting for a long time. Luckily for me and everyone else, they have the maintenance area, the trade in area, and the store all separated. I was only in line for 10 minutes total, with a packed store.
I'll be coming back again for my skate needs, but also anything outdoor related as they have loads of bikes, canoes and camping gear.

This place never fails to amaze me.
Matt at the tune up shop was super helpful & kind.
I’ve been getting my work done on my snowboards here for a decade now & I wouldn’t change a thing about the place!
5 stars isn’t enough for the service.

My beautiful wife brought my Ogio suitcase to fix a Zipper than had been tampered with during our last trip out of the country. Right on the spot took my suitcase into the back and fixed it properly without charge. Exceptional gesture and much appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🙏 It would be my pleasure to refer or recommend this business. 5 ⭐️

I recently paid a visit to Totum for the first time to pick up some used skates. I had exceptional help from manager Matt who was super patient and knowledgeable. I love supporting local shops and Totum will be my go to now!

Always a pleasure to go to Totem Outfitters - we have purchased new and used hockey and ski gear for over 13 years. Today, we came in to get me a new helmet and Dustin was the best! He helped me quickly and got me the exact fit. We always recommend families to go here :)

I have both rented and purchased used goods at Totem. I find the staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable. The used items were in good shape and well priced. Skate sharpening is $8

Careful with consignment.
They dont specify they only give cheque or debit when they take your equipment.
I complained that I needed cash, and that nowhere in store or on reciept did it say only cheque or debit
I asked to speak with the manager and she was RUDE from word one, lovely girl named STACEY. (refused to give her name after being rude)
I said she was being rude, she said no I was. then refused to even do debit, "im only giving you a cheque"
then she refused that, and refused to give me the reciept back as well
I said "im going to call the cops if you dont give me the reciept or the money"
she then said No im calling the cops
STACEY apparently is the "youre not breaking up with me, im breaking up with you type"
and she apparently was calling the cops BEFORE telling me to leave... so being frustrated that they are a sketchy store is a crime?
didnt swear, raise my voice, only called her the brat she was.
Stacey told me to "leave and Im not giving you anything" the second she said that she broke the law
Criminal law... section 330 (1), apparently the cops know them or something because i never even got to make the complaint before the cop made a decision for me, allowing her to not be charged...
If i stole from this store and returned it the next day, i would still be a THIEF
please be careful if you risk selling gear through this place
also they took my (legit) equipment NO QUESTIONS ASKED
so police might want to take a walk through there once in a while looking for stolen property

Our kids are just getting in to sports so this place has been an awesome find. Can get used skates for growing children without breaking the bank. Then when you're done with them, you can sell them back and get credit towards your next pair. Way smarter than buying new skates every season. This place has everything. Nice staff too. We've gotten into skiing lately and this place is a good one for used ski equipment for growing kids. I wish their hours were a little better but other than that it's great

This place is awesome for used sports and trade ins. Staff was awesome to chat with and really fair with trade-in values and even were open to negotiation for used gear purchase.
