Where do i even start. Let's just say that this is the worst investment of your life and that is is -$8000 down the drain. The Teachers don't even care about you or your questions and when we ask them something, they get soooo mad and they even said they don't care about what they are teaching to you and don't even try to make an effort to engage the students in the curriculum. the really good teachers who were legends at teaching all left and some new teachers who don't rlly know how to handle students or teach properly have been replaced. we can't even play a 10 minute silent game on our birthday because apparently we (students) cannot handle it. If a couple of students do something wrong, the whole class gets in trouble for it and gets lectured and even worse: PHYSICAL PAIN! They made us (even the innocent students who have always been obedient) stand in the hallway and didn't let us move, or even legit breathe and some of us were fasting for religious reasons which really made it hard to stand up for an hour without a wall to lean on. I personally don't think schools and PRIVATE ones shouldn't carry on PHYSICAL PAIN. The break times are very short, some teachers. are really bias and rude, and it generally hurts seeing new kids coming to this school as they don't know what problem they are walking into and the parents just think "it's private, my kid is never gonna get bullied" WELL THEY ARE SO WRONG. Some students make you feel insecure about your looks, your grades and from your religion, to your parents and interests. this is an ongoing matter in this school and the teachers don't care about it at all and I have been sent home crying some of these awful school days about my insecurities. And whenever there is a religious holiday other than Christmas, they give us literal dump trucks of assignments, tests and homework. Teachers act like the nicest people in the world in front of parents but that is just one side of the picture. PLEASE don't send ur child to this school unless you want them to get PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder)!!!!! It is not worth you getting your but off to put ur child into this school. plz plz plz plz plz

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL.
Some of the teachers are horrible like the french one.
The bio and geo teachers are great though.
do not go to this school unless you want to be hurt.
There is a very bad lack of social activities.
The classrooms are a very toxic and racist environment too.

I am actually a current student that goes to tempo and this school is not somewhere you want to send your kids. You have no idea how disrespectful and belittling the teachers are as they treat all the students terribly. Some teachers don't even care about teaching the students and will just insult them because it's their "teaching" method. Most of the teachers only care about how they look to the principal/parents and to make sure that they have power over you. Half of them can't even teach and get mad when you ask a question. None of them care. There are so many racist actions that happened at this school that is looked past. People just call eachother racial slurs and insults all the time and if you were to tell a teacher they wouldn't care. It's honestly ridiculous! I have had many inappropriate comments made about me by my classmates and the school doesn't care. Yes, they have good academics but not always. They only teach you stuff the tempo way which is a very uncommon way amongst most people and if you were to use another way on a test you would get a zero. If you're cold you can put on a sweater because it's not tempo uniform. As long as it's -20° outside and not colder they will force you to spend your break time outside if you are in grade 6 and below. Even if you are in the older grades they'll still make you go outside sometimes and shoo you out of the classroom.I have been at this school since kindergarten and it's only gotten worse. It's terrible for all students mental health because of the constant pressure that gets put on you. I beg of you, do not send your kid here, yes they learn how to count their ABCs a year early but it's not worth it for the amount of terrible behavior that goes on at this school by both the students and the teachers. Teachers put on an act every time a parent or headmaster enters the room to act as if there is nothing bad going on in the classroom.Save your children the trauma and send them to literally any other school.

As a parent/student, I am deeply concerned about the way this school handles traumatic incidents. Unfortunately, my experience here has been marred by the lack of proper support and understanding for individuals who have faced trauma.Trauma is a serious issue that requires sensitive and professional handling. However, it seems that this school lacks the necessary protocols and resources to address such situations effectively. Instead of providing a safe and supportive environment for those in need, I found the response to be dismissive and inadequate.Furthermore, the lack of transparency and communication regarding incidents of trauma is troubling. It's essential for the school to be open and honest about such matters, ensuring that students, parents, and staff are informed and supported.Moving forward, I urge the school administration to prioritize the well-being of its students and implement comprehensive measures to address trauma in a responsible and compassionate manner. This includes providing access to counseling services, creating a supportive network within the school community, and fostering an environment where individuals feel safe to seek help without fear of judgment or stigma. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this school until significant improvements are made in how it handles trauma and supports those affected by it. Every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported, and it's crucial for schools to prioritize these principles above all else.Feel free to adjust the review according to your specific experiences and concerns. If you need further assistance or support, don't hesitate to reach out to appropriate authorities or organizations that specialize in trauma response and support.

15 thousand dollars a year for trauma. The only thing you’ll learn here, is how to get Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), deserves a 0 star rating , this place will get shut down one of these days. The mental traumas given to you by most of their teachers will never be forgotten in a lifetime, all the parents doing reviews here have never even step foot in this school before. Try going everyday for 9 years. Your child will never be the same , it’s not worth it for the “status” of having a private school educated child. I’ve now graduated from university I still remember the constant yelling, power trips ,and much more I cannot even begin to get into , gone on by the teachers , they hide it so well from parents , it’s all sunshine and rainbows on the outside. Infront of parents they are all COMPLETELY different people , don’t fall for it , and do not send your child here unless you want trauma for them, the day I left this school was the happiest day of my life, every single day I was in this school made me dread my existence due to the teachers and staff here. I used to come home crying almost everyday , as a child it’s hard to communicate what’s going on , please do your due diligence. This school is pure mental abuse. They try to keep you in for the full 12 years so your child doesn’t know what a regular loving school can do for you.

I went to this school in the 90s for 4 years and now that I have a child, I am compelled to write a review. This was single-handedly the most awful school I have ever been to. My parents enrolled my sister and I and drove 40 mins one way each day thinking they were giving us the best experience but it was truly awful. The principal at the time told my sister, ‘don’t worry that your family drives a mini van and everyone else has Mercedes’ and BMWs’ I also had my desk emptied in front of students because I wasn’t very organised and the teachers didn’t think this was an issue to be humiliated in front of fellow students. I also had the French teacher tell me my belly was big (I was in grade 4). I remember going to public school afterwards and I couldn’t believe they thought I was smart as I was made to feel stupid at this horrendous school. It’s interesting now that I have a child now and having excelled at my career and drive the German car that was so revered at Tempo (yawn), I am now in the position to send my child to private school but the memories of this one make me hesitate as I’d never want him to feel less than as they had made me feel. Side note, had I never left this school, I may not have believed I could have achieved all the things I have, so thanks for showing me what getting out does for a person.

As a former student my parents thought they were doing me right by sending me here.So much is wrong with this school. Any review from a parent is not valid because they didn't attend, rather their kids did. Notice every good review is by a parent talking about the idea of what tempo should be. None have experienced it themselves. As a parent now this would be the last school I'd ever send my kids. Save your money. And your children's sanity. It's not what you think it is.
