Called in to get quote for service, very rude customer service.

They got my car in right away, got it fixed faster than they said they would, and it was exactly at the price quoted. I trust them enough to bring my car back next time I need a mechanic.

Just wanted to say that I’ve had excellent service from Derek at Sherlock Auto - I went in today with an oil leak which was a concern as of course the oil leak could be anywhere and could cost a lot to fix it depending on where it is, etc… I got a call back within two hours to say that it was just a gasket that had to be tightened up and a minor problem, no charge and that I could come and pick it up within the hour!… they also gave my car a nice car wash!
Great honesty and I’ve been here several times before…. don’t believe all these reviews online, check them out for yourself!

The guys seemed nice when I picked up the car. Thing was I had a tire repaired and when they put the spare back in the trunk they didn't even lift up the carpet to put it in the well. A little thing but enough to make me go somewhere else next time.

My grandmother brought her car in for a front differential leak & was diagnosed as a pinion seal leak. A week later it’s not fixed still leaking she brought the car back & they say it’s just residual fluid. 2 weeks later it’s still leaking my grandmother brings it in again & now they says it’s the transfer case yet a friend has said it’s a axle seal. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PLACE AS ITS ALL ABOUT SCAMMING SENIOR CUSTOMERS!!!!!

This is the place to go if you're needing repairs. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very informative. They got me in same day, and the job was done quickly! Hands down, best service I've received in an automotive repairs shop! Thank you Sherlocks!

Just to add to my son’s Sean review!! We bought a car from a good friend who is a recent widow, the car was taken in for a service in November 2023 and then sat for awhile as she bought a new vehicle, my son purchased the car an we decided to change the oil and discovered that the the oil plug was stripped!!! They put the plug back in the oil pan they stripped tightened very lightly and sent it out!!
I call and asked why they would send it out in such a state and was told this happens a lot with oil changes?? I disagree with him saying I change the oil on all my cars and never had this issue, he basically said to bad and hung up!! Good customer service
I don’t recall the conversation about bringing the vehicle in to inspect the drain plug?? Must of been after you hung up on me!

Stripped the oil plug out of a car I bought, had the receipt, said they were aware of the stripped plug they caused and sent it off anyway.
Avoid this place if your looking for car services, cause more harm than good

BEWARE!! Brought my sons car in for a quote. Waited for the quote for 3 days. Finally called to pick it up, after not receiving the quote - when the owner said he ordered parts and that I gave him a "verbal" agreement. Who in their right mind would start work on a vehicle with a verbal agreement. Asked for a quote multiple times, when he said it was emailed. Absolutely nothing was emailed. He stated they ordered non-refundable parts, from out of country in which I would be responsible for, as well as inspection costs, estimate & storage fee costs upon pickup. (BEWARE OF THESE SIGNS) when you walk in - SHADY! Most shops do free estimates. Charged close to $1000 for Absolutely no work done on the car. He also said the rear tire was toast, in which we brought it to another shop, it was completely fine - needed air. (So, not sure if they're not thorough or incompetent). Either way, untrustworthy!
When we picked up the car, I asked for the actual estimate in which the receptionist said it was emailed. Advised them there was no email, ever received. She printed it out. The estimate just said the amount with Absolutely no break down of parts/labour, etc. I've never in my life seen an estimate like this. I brought the car to 2 different shops, with detailed quotes and Sherlocks said there were things wrong with it, which were not. Reported to BBB.
This place is a scam. Do your research before going here!

Earlier when I saw Google reviews I wasn’t sure whether I should go to this place or not . I needed out of province inspection for my Jeep wrangler . I took the chance and it was the best decision . The inspection was done in less than 3 hours and got a great customer service .
Do give them a visit , don’t decide based on Google reviews .

I brought in my older 3/4 ton truck with a laundry list of serious issues.
The team called me within a couple of hours of dropping it off to warn me about the considerable cost of the repairs. They wanted to ensure I would be interested in paying for the repairs instead of just replacing the truck.
I explained that I was aware of the issues and asked them to proceed with a formal quote. They called back a few hours later with full details on the work, which I approved.
They got to work right away. I checked back later in the afternoon and they let me know they'd need to finish the work the next day.
Checking back in the morning, they confirmed the truck would be ready for end of day. I paid the bill by phone when they were done. I asked them to lock my keys in the glovebox so I could pick it up after close with my spare set.
It's a tough thing to have a customer feel okay about paying for $4,000 for repairs on a 20 year old truck. In my case, it was a good choice and driving it away, the repairs were immediately apparent and I have a lot more confidence in the safety and reliability of my truck.

Went in, paid for a 'consultation. Came back with a $2,200 'estimate.....Apparently, the power steering pump and rack needed to be replaced along with a 'mandatory' wheel alignment after. WHEW! I found that strange on a vehicle with only 65,000 KM. Guess, a middle-aged woman who admits she does not know anything about cars is a 'mark'. I am not that stupid so did some simple google searches-- nope- pretty sure that is not the problem. Took car for 2nd opinion, did not say anything about the first one- let the people figure out the 'noise' problem on their own. SO, the power steering fluid was low, they found a burnt out signal light and charged me $83.70 including tax. I have NEVER left any review, and hate when folks leave bad ones- I had to do this...... PLEASE ......think twice about going here.

Two years ago they replaced my shocks. Today my struts are rattling and they need to me replaced. WTF? I don't have anything to say, but "crooks". Never again!

I am looking for a new mechanic, as I have recently moved to the West End. I always go off the reviews of the shop, unfortunately this one has negative reviews, mostly price gouging. This is the worst thing a mechanic can do, as most of us are not mechanically skilled. I will keep looking.
