May 2024 by My name Is
I like sephora but this store is the worst in Edmonton. There are some incredibly great consultants, but most of them are staffed by people who don't care about the client. A few days ago, I wanted to buy a perfume from the Saint Laurent line. I waited for a consultant for a long time, but no one came, so I went to the cash desk myself and asked for a consultant. A girl with dreadlocks approached, who was clearly not happy with her work. She answered all my questions contemptuously. I couldn't choose which perfume I wanted from this line. She asked to give me one, but then changed her mind and chose another. While she was looking for my perfume in the warehouse, I decided to once again test the 2 options I had chosen. And when she came up and saw that I was still choosing a scent, she asked in surprise, "Why haven't you chosen yet?". Yes, I did not choose. I am a customer and please give me some time. Consultants exist for this. Normally I don't need help, but not in this case. I needed advice and a person who would answer my questions, but I didn't get that. After I chose the perfume I went to my car and opened the box. And what was my disappointment when I saw a completely different product. This woman, who was supposed to "help" me, gave me a completely different perfume. The price was lower than expected, so I was surprised when I bought it. But sometimes there are discounts on products, so I didn't pay attention. Very disappointed with this person. Please, staff, be more friendly to the client. I also work with people and understand that sometimes people are not very friendly and that working with them is difficult. But I think that it is still important for business to be more stress-resistant. I also want to thank the girl who, after my return, quickly and efficiently changed my product and I was satisfied. It was only because of her work that I gave the store 5 stars. If I were served again by the previous one, I would not have more than 1 star. After communicating with her, she felt like bio-waste. And this is no exaggeration.

I had a very positive experience at the store in Kingsway mall (first time at Sephora). The place was clean and organized. As soon as I walked in, an associated helped me, and then another associated, Brooke, helped me with a number of products. She asked me relevant questions to ensure I was going to get the products I would be happy with. She was familiar with the different brands and products. I left the store feeling better about my makeup and health care regime.

I drove all the way to kingsway today from ne edm to find out this is the ONLY location that doesn't carry all brands that the others do. Also I totally agree with the other comments, like 7 workers standing at the front blabbing to eachother. No greeting, no offer to assist. I will never go back. Kingsway Sephora a big?

Very friendly staff. Went in for a free skin assessment. They were helpful and didn't try to push products on me.

WORST SEPHORA IN THE WORLD. I never go out of my way to leave bad reviews, but this location never fails to give me a horrible shopping experience.3 employees at the front of the store, not a single one of them greeted me when I walked in. They just stared with a straight face. I was like okay, no problem. I counted at least 7 employees walked past me without asking if I needed help, instead just giving me a side eye and not a single one of them was smiling. All looked super depressed.Which is fine, I don’t care. My issue is that the store was SO messy, and I desperately needed help finding a product. Every single one of the employees walked past me as I was rummaging through a pile of inventory (the displays were so messy and gross) to find what I was looking for. Absolutely ridiculous. SEPHORA is an LVMH company that retails luxury makeup products, worth hundreds for a single item. The shopping experience I had was laughable. Absolutely embarrassing, poorly trained staff and obviously horribly managed. And a lot of other reviews say the same thing.I know you guys will reply with a generic “we will take this into consideration” why don’t you guys actually just do a better job hiring people?

Love this location over the WEM one, there’s always someone around when you need them.I was helped by Wayne today, and he was such a sweetheart! I was looking at fragrances that were popular on TikTok and he helped me find a scent that was much more suitable for me than what I was looking at. He was attentive and answered a ton of my questions as well. Thank you for the amazing service, I’ll definitely be back!

As someone who used to be an employee here, the standards for service is terribly low to a point i would advise people to shop online over going in store. I popped in with a list of products i was hoping to grab, online said it was in stock, it was a new product and they had about 6 of them on the shelf and none in the drawers. After waiting for 10 minutes i get told its in a box and none of their operations team is on shift so i will have to wait about 3 days to be able to buy it. As a former beauty advisor i was trained on how to read manifests and find the boxes for these types of situations, because turning away a client because you “cant” go into a box for a product that should be on the shelf is unacceptable. Not to mention as someone who was a brand rep after leaving sephora, having the shelf empty for new launches and refusing to go into the boxes that have the product because “im not part of the operation team” is damaging to the store’s relationship with the abh brand and their rep. The brand trusts you to do your part and sell the product they have provided you with and should be on shelf. The customer service and training here is unacceptable.

Worst Sephora I have even been in. Staff did not seem to care about the customers. Not one person offered to help. Garbage alllll over the floors. Looked like a cheap discount store. Kids touching the tester make up, people literally trying tester lipstick on. So unsanitary.

This is the worst Sephora in Edmonton. I try my best to stay away from writing bad reviews but it is fair to share this story. My mother (who is ESL) was trying to return a facial product that she had purchased for my younger brother. This product was roughly $95 and it caused my brother's skin to have rashes and redness. They had this product for less than a week and he had used it twice. When my mother tried to return they told her that since there was LESS THAN 50% in the bottle, they couldn't take it back. THERE WAS CLEARLY MORE THAN 50% in the bottle, most of the time Sephora doesn't fill all the bottles to the very top, AND it caused skin problems for my younger brother.I guess it is fair to say that this location has the worst customer service. I would avoid the Kingsway Sephora to anyone else trying to return any product.

The staff member was helpful, but checkout line was very tight, tough to maneuver for my Daughter using a walker.

Helpful staff, as always. And should I keep it to myself, or post that Sephora is once again doing ltd samples? Yaaayy!!! ?(My understanding is no actual liquids for sampling - ie. creams and 'thicker" items only. No perfumes sadly. ?

Worst Sephora in town! Just go to Southgate or WEM! I didn’t know that when I enter the store, I need to be bodychekced by the greeting girl (Sep 5th)at the door? And no one would offer help in this store but the other Sephoras in town are definitely nicer. I wrote down the date because the other girl greeting me on Sep 2nd was nice. She was the only one who would tell me where the product I was looking for is located. But today is some new experience.

Worst Sephora in Edmonton. Firstly, I can rarely find the product i am looking for here. Secondly, the staff are always rude and not helpful.Moving forward, I am choosing not to go to this store. I will either order online or go to a different location.
