In the store the other day, employee Arnie in the produce section was very helpful and very friendly and had a great knowledge educating me on produce. Nice to have had the time, keep up the great work. I do believe the gentleman is a fairly new employee at the this store.

Front end staff representative was mentioning how she barfed up her Thanksgiving and coffee before she got to work. If ypu are ill do not come to work or atleast wear a mask if you are ill. Bakery people behind counter were gossiping about a customer from the day prior and discussing another employee, it sounded serious. There is management and HR to deal with issues, customers do not need to hear these conversations. Very TOXIC shopping experience. I can say I would rather go somewhere else.

The food is decent, the lunch counter at the deli is always understaffed. Prices are comparable. Self checkout is awful.

Umm the lady was just being sooooooo rude. Made me wait 40 mins for my meal that was right in front of her talking about “ ohhh I’m not checking if it’s the right one because they better be great for a hot meal”

It's a grocery store, a Safeway. Nothing special, nothing awful. Quieter than Bonnie Doon, not as well equipped or stocked as the Oliver Square location

The staff are always courteous and friendly. The staff always try to help, and the location is kept clean.

Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE staff. I purchased a cake yesterday and the self checkout lady attacked me, and prevented me from leaving the store (holding me against my will) because she assumed I had stolen my cake when I purchased it right infront of her and received my receipt. She laid hands on me while preventing me to leave the store and she then snatched my cake from my hand. I uploaded a photo of my damaged cake for you all to see.This woman violated my human rights, she discriminated against me, and she assaulted me. I am in the process of suing Safeway and this worker specifically.She is a red head lady roughly 47-53 years old named MANON R.I have also filed a formal complaint to corporate office in regards.I expect to be hearing from management ASAP.

Clean and well laid out. I love their Winnipeg rye bread. This would be a five star rating but the cereal I bought has a best before date that already past. Plus half the mini go on the shelf were also past their expiry date.

They had strip-loin steaks on sale in their flyer, went to the store but they were out of stock. Got a rain-check for the steaks. When I presented the rain-check to the butcher, he cut me up fresh steaks. Great service from the butcher department.

Aug 9, 9:30 the deli clerk told me he couldn't slice meat because he already cleaned the slicer. I worked in a Safeway Deli once upon a time and we would never be allowed to turn away customers because we were too lazy to clean the equipment again.
