Locally owned with friendly staff.
You won't find better. Been coming here for decades.
Try the fairly new Hoka shoe for real comfort too.

Poor service today. Was looking for a pair of shoes with arch support and wanted to try Hokas because they had an all black shoe.
The employee assisting me brought me the shoes, I mentioned to her that I wanted arch support and currently wear new balance (she was walking away from me at this point not listening) she then said “well these shoes don’t have any arch support”
Did not offer to show me any other pairs of shoes. I tried them on, walked around the store and waited a few minutes and the employee was nowhere to be found. I should mention she was also assisting another customer but it looked like she was majorly catering to her and not to me. Could it have been an age thing? I don’t know.
Either way, I put the shoes back in the box and left. She quickly came to the front as soon as she heard the door. ?

Disappointed with the service, quite a difference compared to the 109th location. My wife and I came in, I was looking for a particular pair of shorts, and she was interested in a new pair of shoes. I spent quite a bit of time looking for the shorts, and actually had to track down an associate to show me where they were, since they weren't at the location marked on the shelf. My wife was greeted, but was given virtually no advice as to what shoe would be best for her. The associate didn't ask any questions, provide any advice, or examine her gait to determine if she needed neutrals, or more stability.I don't see why there wasn't more interest in actually selling any product, or providing valuable advice. The associate who helped check us out was helpful in reminding us about the points program... but that's about the only thing that went right this visit.

I did not have a very good experience at this location. The person working when I went was not very helpful or friendly. She never came to ask if I needed help finding anything and when I did ask if she could check if there were sizes in stock for a few different pairs of runners she acted like I was inconveniencing her. I did not need up buying anything because they didn’t have my size in about 5 different pairs of runners. I’m not one to leave reviews but it’s been a few weeks after the fact and this incident still bothers me. I’ve never been in a store where I’ve felt so uncomfortable/unwelcome.

Very disappointed with my parent’s experience at this store. My parents went to purchase shoes for my father. The sales representative did not even come out from behind the counter to help and simply told them they’re better off going to the 109st location. Terrible customer service.

Had the pleasure of having Kim and Narissa (spelling?) help me find some new shoes. Narissa was extremely patient despite all of my questions and finding the right fit for my feet.Those two ladies are your stars and I'd recommend your location just for how helpful they were :)

Purchased these Hoka shoes at the end of June and they are completely falling apart. I have never had this issue with a pair of running shoes prior. I attempted dealing with Hoka as I knew it was past the date for returns to Running Room but Hoka said I needed to deal with the place of purchase. If they are an authorized dealer, they would know what to do. Apparently this is absolutely not true when dealing with the Running Room in South Common.I repeated what Hoka had told me and Bryan said, “I don’t know if we are an an authorized dealer of Hoka but we sell them.” Followed by I’m too late for a return, which I was well aware of. I asked if there was a manager who may know more about dealing with Hoka and he said managers only work during the day, in an absolutely rude tone, as if I should know manager hours. I informed him that it was 5:30pm and would consider that still day. I would understand if he said “Our manager only works until 4.”I said I would continue trying to deal with Hoka, the only issue is that I cannot find my receipt and in store purchases are not showing up on my online account. He said there is nothing he can do. There is no way to get another receipt at store level. I then had to ask where I could get one and he provided the phone number for customer service.I did not expect free anything or a refund, I just wanted guidance on how to deal with a faulty pair of Hoka that fell apart because Hoka told me that authorized dealers should know how to deal with a product issue.Bryan really needs a little less sarcasm and a little more helpful information. Stating the time the manager works or giving me a customer service number would have been more helpful than his rude responses.I have been purchasing my runners directly from the company’s online sites, at least one pair every 10 months but unfortunately decided to purchase these at the South Common Running Room location. I will definitely stick with purchasing directly from the company (Hoka, Saucony, etc) in the future as in store customer service is definitely lacking. Also, Hoka has a much better warranty if you purchase directly from them.I definitely would not recommend the South Common Running Room.
