James goes out of his way to make every experience the best one yet his customer service is absolutely immaculate and he easily puts a smile on each customer face amazing employee overall and you can tell he totally loves what he does!!! The staff here are really nice. The selection of products is great. They have cute pets that you can look at and pet. The cats here are adorable, pls come adopt!! Safari Stan drew me the cutest picture on the back of my receipt. What a great experiance. Best pet store!

Honestly the most friendly Petland location me and my girlfriend have ever been to! James is always super helpful and great at changing your days whole mood! Every time we are in there he draws a little picture on the back of your recite.

I used to frequent this location for snake and dog supplies. I've had a concern about the customer service in the fish department. The lady that works there often ignores me, walks right past me, and then gives attitude when you ask for help.
Today, she did the same thing. I have been trying to buy mice for my snake for 3 weeks now. I'm told week after week they will get some "next week." Today they had none so I asked when they would get another shipment because I've visited 3 times now. She said "I don't know. Whenever we get them." Now, that's fine, I know you can't control shipments, but don't lie to me 3 weeks in a row, only to give me an I don't know.
Poor customer service. Especially from the short dark haired girl in the fish department.

I use this store often for the location convenience. Keep in mind the prices are high selection is low and the staff are friendly but not very knowledgeable.
Edit: they have a cat room! Which is amazing! To enter the room they request you to remove your shoes, before entering. Which is completely understandable! It comes with a big problem, they do not provide a chair, bench, shoe coverings, or even a shoe horn. To make this reasonable request accessible to everyone. There is a large portion of the population, who has trouble putting on and taking off their shoes in a standing position. which includes The following groups of people and more that I have not thought of. a lot of seniors or People with certain types of mobility issue, from an injury, to chronic pain (inflammatory or mechanical ) people deal with symptoms of dysautonomya, or have a mobility aid such as a cane or Walker.
Furthermore, people who are neurodiverse, and have sensory issues when not wearing shoes. As well as people who have concerns with germs in public spaces, through life experiences or anxiety disorders are all excluded from this room.
That's a very large portion of the population, and the thing is , thats just what I thought of while typing this up. There are more people effected by this.
The problem here, Is it wouldn't take a lot to provide access, Just a few small changes.
I am not writing this to say don't go to this store, go there, But if you get the opportunity while you're there, whether or not these apply to you or not. Bring up the lack of accessibility for that room . Please do so politely and kindly. This is not malicious. It's just an oversight that anyone could make.
It been months since this became store policy, this is not been been addressed yet, And I'm sure if it was brought up to them they would be like. Oh wow! Yes, let's let's do that. It would be so easy. We've got an Extra chair in the back, And I can order a couple boxes of booties.
The point of me updating my review, Is to point this out for people who haven't noticed it. It's more then reasonable. Someone may overlook this, If this simply doesn't apply to you.
For people who do have difficulty putting their shoes on from a standing position, sensory issues or cleanliness concerns, This is more to let you know ahead of time if you plan on going in.
That way if meeting the cats was on your list of things you would like to do during your visit to the store., you can come prepared with whatever you need to make it accessible, for you in the meantime.

Generally I have such great experience with Petland , to the point where I have adopted 5 animals from them over the years but after this weekend it'll take a lot for me to go in and want to spend my money there.
I had encountered such a horrible experience there this weekend wanting to go in and buy fish. I had gone in over a week ago to buy my tank and get it all set up as the guy suggested(he was great help, i think his name was Craig or Greg) and came back later to buy the fish. When I had approached the 3 workers to ask for help, all just standing around talking to one another, the look the one associate gave me was like I was doing them wrong by asking for help (which to me that's what their there for , to assist the customers who are wanting to come in and spend money). Then when asking for some fish the associate pretty much told me no and that I need to bring my water in to get tested.
Needless to say I left and went to a different, smaller, locally owned pet store and spent my money there.

Phoned on two occasions within a week and told that there were 3 male dwarf rabbits available. Went in and bought 2. Now after taking them to a vet to be checked out not very happy with the staff. 1. they are not dwarf and 2. one female and one male. Also, received some incorrect feeding information.
