Very clean, beautiful store. You can tell they take pride in it. Very friendly! It's the best antique store we have ever been in. We will be back next time we are in town.

I don’t often write reviews, and never of the negative sort, but I cannot go without saying something for other new or existing customers. My partner and I parked in the very empty, space-hogging lot right outside the locked store. My partner has visited the store times prior to our shared visit and found the manner of the employees helpful and friendly, however, unfortunately that was not the case for us this time around at all. We browsed and though the two ladies working did tend to us, we searched both floors and couldn’t find the old gadgets we had been looking for. We thanked them as we left and merely walked to the other side of the antique building to debrief. As soon as we returned to our vehicle minutes later, the one woman with glasses whom I wish I caught the name of, unlocked the door, came outside, and yelled at us from across the lot as we were getting into the car, saying, first parking was only for customers who asked permission? Even though the parking is marked: Ibon; Customer parking, she must have been upset she didn’t get her commission. And then after, still yelling that the parking was only for paying customers. Go figure… I walked up to her and questioned her made-up rules and authority that went against the bylaw signs posted right in front of me and my partners eyes, and she went inside mumbling… Horrible behaviour from the representative employees who should be welcoming business rather than shooing it away by their own means. I hope a higher-up sees to this review and acts accordingly.
DISCLAIMER: Don’t come here unless you know they have something you’ll buy, otherwise, apparently, you’ll get towed. Awful experience, hope something is done about that employee’s manner.

This was only the second time I visited this store as I am located in Calgary and it has become one of my favourite go-to spots in Edmonton. I purchased some postcards, photos, and frames as well. I could spend hours looking at everything in this store. Definitely will return again.

Last weekend was our first time checking out this place. Ibon has two levels to browse, there's a lot to see and the staff is incredibly friendly. Will definitely return!

The staff here were extremely friendly and one in particular (came across as the owner perhaps) graciously answered a lot of our questions regarding certain pieces and clearly held a lot of knowledge on antiques. The store was well lit, clearly organized, and packed with a variety of beautiful antiques.
As far as previous reviews regarding security: yes, you need to buzz to get in. However, when asked about it, their security is justified and they do show you how to get out on your own. Customers are not locked in at all. I also didn't mind that there was always a staff member around. A lot of their pieces are not only expensive, but hard to acquire/rare so it makes sense to be a little cautious. They were helpful throughout, and went out of their way to show me some pieces or find more information about certain items. Although some pieces were priced more than similar items at other shops, the care of the items/condition is better. The free customer parking here is also very convenient. Looking forward to returning!

I love coming to this store, even though I moved to the Southwest, I still drive a half hour to this store to find all kinds of beautiful plates and crystal products. The owner is very kind and patiently introduced the history of the plate to me. Also gave me some suggestions when I hard to figure about two plates. I like coming to this store! Every time I can find what I want. And the price is very reasonable, I will definitely come back.

Came in for a sale. Hard to move around because of the narrow walkways and the staff standing in them. Nothing caught my eye after a brief browse so I headed for the exit. They had some sort of bar to block the main door and a staff member had to come open it and let me out. Absolutely ridiculous and a safety hazard.
Edit to reply: If the main door can be opened by a customer it is not immediately apparent how and in a stressful emergancy state I wouldn't trust a random person to open it. This is how crushing situations happen. This business cares more about preventing shoplifting than customer safety. That simple.
Edit 2: Monitor the door for sure. Block the door? That is unsafe
