Wow! There are a lot of negative reviews on here and very few good ones. I am new to this province and I am glad I read the reviews because it says a lot about the staff's personality of running a business. Customers should be treated like a King or a Queen because we are giving our money to the business. Therefore, the owner/staff should be kissing the customer's asses if they want to succeed in their business. Such a disgrace!
I have many gorgeous designer clothing to donate and I think I will give generously to my church. Some people are born with a beautiful interpersonal communication skills and others not so much. It is a very sad thing. You can not teach good customer service skills. You either have it or you do not. Definitely not good for the business!!!

Very shocked and disappointed as a seller with the lack of care and lack of professionalism in how the owner of Good Stuff Consignment conducts her business! I brought in 28 items which were in pristine/brand new condition, clean, beautifully steamed and in garment bags. The majority of items had not been worn more than once.
Five of the items did not sell, however, I was shocked at how little the cheque I received was. I asked to see her list of consigned items by me which indicates both her asking, as well as sold prices. Again, very surprised. Aritzia items were priced about the same, or higher than higher end brands such as Love Shack Fancy, Tularosa, L’Academie LA, Parker, etc. - several items that retailed for between $250-$650 each were priced at $28. Mavis’ excuse was that she didn’t know the brands.
A real shocker as anyone who purports to be a higher end consignor should be up to date and familiar with the logistics of sourcing information on price checking. A quick search by me turned up most items in a matter of minutes. At the very least, Mavis could simply have asked me and then verified the prices since I stood beside her as she unpacked and checked the labels and condition of the clothing. Another thought would be to occasionally check the websites of local higher end boutiques to stay current on their brands and pricing since these are items, I’d imagine, she would hope to eventually receive in her shop.
The final disappointment was having four of the five unsold items (1 was missing altogether) returned to me literally rolled up in a ball and stuffed into a bag. I expected to receive these back in the same condition as I brought them in.
Needless to say, I will not be using Good Stuff Consignment in the future.

Shopper review
If I could give 0 stars I would. Just like the other reviews have said, the owner is incredibly rude. We tried a few things on (3 things) and once finished we asked if we could think about it and return in the morning to purchase. The owner responded with "don't bother, I can't believe you would do this". I should note, the store closes at 6pm. We had finished all our trying on and were ready to go by 6:02pm. Apparently 2 mins is too long to wait for a sale!
Stay away from this place!! Unsure if it's just an unhappy owner or racism towards Asians, but we won't be back.

Rudest owner/ manager ever. Incredibly condescending and rude, not willing to work with you, and gives back handed comments about your style choices/ the clothes you bring in and if it’s not up to her standard she’ll say it’s “goodwill” worthy. Take your business elsewhere, she doesn’t deserve the business.

GET CONFIRMATION OF THE ITEMS YOU CONSIGN. Unfortunately, after several years of positive experience as a customer and consigner, Mavis and I reached an impasse to account for 10 of 18 items I consigned on April 23. After the consignment time, 3 items not sold and a $55 cheque for 5 sold items were provided to me. I sent a detailed list of the original 18 items to Mavis and requested they be verified somehow, perhaps they were applied to another consigner's account. Good Stuff maintains a total of 8 items were consigned with no response or process to investigate or verify the unaccounted for 10 items. I am posting solely to reiterate insisting on confirmation of consigned items to avoid this unfortunate circumstance for all parties.

Love this store. Just bought an Escada sport jacket. $$ 60.00!! Last year, I scored a black velvet gown, floor length, and blackless. I've worn it 5 times. $ 30.00 . Every time I wear it I have people ask me where I got it.

My mother visited this store and was greeted by two rude employees. My mom made a comment about how it must be tough being open during construction and one of the employees snapped at her saying "well we need to pay the bills". My mom wasn't commenting that they shouldn't be open, merely that it must be tough. When asked by another employee what she was looking for, she was mocked and told that the item she was looking for has been out of style for years. My mom explained the reason she was looking for such an item and rather than being helpful and suggesting something similar, one employee told her that the issue my mom was describing didn't exist, only to have the other employee tell my mom that she agrees the issue exists but offering no alternatives or helpful suggestions. Needless to say she walked away empty handed and will not return.

Walked into this place just after visiting another merchant in the shopping center. The owner/Manager was not interested in engaging with me. Much like the other similar disappointing reviews.Many other great consignment shops out their ladies who are happy to have the business!
