As much as I need the help its frustrating you have schedule all day just to get through and then sit on line on hold for another 1hr or so there is no way in hell there running this properly I phoned today at 830 am today I've been on hold since 832 am its currently 921am they open at 830am they expect you to remain calm and respectful but hey can't seem to run a phone in an timely manner instead they put you on hold on purpose expecting you to hang up so one less person they deal with you don't wait this long even when phoning the government

What's the point in calling when you're on hold for 2 hours then eventually have to hang up because you're too hungry to stay on the phone any longer? Food Bank has no issues making a public call when they get low on food, why not publicly ask for more volunteers to help man the phones so people don't have to waste a whole afternoon trying to book a hamper pickup in a week's time? Seems to be designed to force people into an online order situation.

I just want to say a special thanks to the Food Bank and all those hard working staffs. My experience was great. My family and i are grateful for the groceries provided. May God continue to bless u so u can be a blessing to those in need.

It changed in there in last 10 years 2 new interview rooms 1 needs a door thou people are nice hold doors open but Automatic doors should be installed & maintained door is level with ground so nice no wheel chair ramp needed, silly thing they did took away some parking spots please bring them back & make them wheel chair spots & a loading zone spot for loading & unloading only.

This place is doing a darn good job considering how many people are requiring their services right now. It makes me sad to see the backlash they are getting when they are doing the best they can. Especially the people who can gladly spend money at the casino or on tattoos, yet DEMAND a food basket this instance. P.s. to the angry demanding posters - your previous reviews are visible to all of us and it's a shame you waste money in one place and expect free services YOU should be paying for in another.

The staff of the Edmonton Food Bank live and work on Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᕀ ᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ land within Treaty 6 Territory and within the Métis Nation of Alberta Region. This land is the traditional territories of many First Nations such as Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinabae (Saulteaux), and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot).I had the distinct (and humbling) honour of volunteering at this organization assisting in preparing food hampers for those who need them. It's such an incredible organization and I was blessed enough to meet some of the most amazing people my path has been fortunate enough to cross.If you can, volunteer your time. If you can, give to aid the food bank in it's ability to continue their mission. I just loved it and look forward to returning in the very near future.

We arrived at the food bank warehouse at 11508 120 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5G 2Y2 on Wednesday. We signed up for a friend named Sabri. And we said he needed food. but they didn't give food to our friend Sabri. Since we don't have a car, the canavua team brings us food. On Monday, June 26, the canavua team would bring food aid. But I was in the hospital that day. because i have heart disease. I tried to explain this situation to my friends working there. but they did not understand me. they told me: The Canavua team brought food to you on June 26. We can't give it from here. I said can we get food aid while we are here. but they did not give food. We can't come because we don't have a car. A friend brought us and I said give food aid while there is a car. they didn't. this is a very sad situation. If you ask your friends there, they will remember. We said it because we needed food. I also have documents that I was in the hospital on Monday, June 26th. I honestly told everything, but they did not give food. both to Sabri friend and to me and my husband. very very sad

This is third time got food bank from here I never get meat no riceThird time nothing at all no bread no meat I have two kids they put some chocolate candy and vegetables and canes that’s allBut the staff nice and polite people but food not goodAlso I have take two buses to get there I asked them many times to give me in my area keep saying ok but same never give my area

This resource is a joke. They need more funding and they need to apply for more grants because we should be able to call in and get a hamper that day, not weeks later. They need more for the people who utilize them because it’s such a disappointment calling in and there being “nothing available in your area.” Reach out to the government or something and advocate for more funding because this resource is needed but it’s severely lacking. Just look at the programs in the surrounding areas of Edmonton, Edmonton food bank is a literal joke compared to them.*They should put as much effort into pushing the government TO FUND THEM as much as they do at arguing back on reviews.*
