Many items just for CAD$1.50, but some were CAD$2 and without price tag. It made us felt not so good, but overall the prices were still affordable.
Many items are priced at CAD$1.5, and some are priced at CAD$2 but are not marked, which feels a bit tricky, but overall it is still cheap.

*****EDIT APRIL 15/2024:I received a call from the store manager 'Amy' expressing genuine empathy and apologies for the difficult situation we encountered (described below). Amy also apologized because the store phones are not operating and the situation is being investigated by Telus. Amy told me that this situation we encountered is not what dollar tree stands for when it comes to customer service, and that education and training will be given to the below mentioned cashier. Also, that the store layout is going to change to accommodate more space between shelves and check out counters after the owner and corporate toured the store. Because of the call from this fantastic manager, I will change my review from 1 to 4 stars. The customer behaved ignorantly, however noone is responsible for that but her (an adult). If only the world began to approach others, especially children, with curiosity and kindness - what a world it could be.*****This dollar tree provides absolutely awful, unprofessional customer service. VERY narrow checkout lanes with zero space for people to shop and check out at the same time. Highly disorganized and poorly planned layout of store.FOR EXAMPLE:I was checking out with my high energy, young boys (youngest in the shopping cart, elder I was trying to keep close). They were acting like children do (ie: grabbing at things, not having spatial awareness) and I was trying my best to keep them near me and out of the way of the crowds of people that were shopping beside the very narrow checkout lanes as well as stop them grabbing at everything within reach.Well, the cashier and the woman checking out took issue with my children and my attempts. The cashier said "could you make space for this lady checking out". I replied if she was referring to my 8 year old son being in the way. The lady checking out replied saying it was me who was in the way, and I said "I'm truly trying my best here". We left right away.It was an awful situation and I will NEVER be shopping there again, nor will my mother who witnessed the whole thing. And this - after many years of giving my business there, from party supplies to birthday cards etc.I later tried to call the store, someone picked up, and said good evening dollar tree. I asked could if I could please have the general manager's name and phone number and was literally hung up on. Incredibly unprofessional and rude. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

During a time such as Easter shopping, I appreciated having both dollar stores (Dollarama near by) quite close to each other. What one doesn’t have, surly the other has. This was the case jumping between both these dollar stores. First time at this dollar tree. I liked how big and open it was. It had long and full isles. Clean. I almost wished I had more time so I could fully take in this whole store. The staff was so helpful. I even seen one staff member help a lady take her stuff out to her car. Just lovely! I for sure liked this store and I’ll be back.

Avoid the Spa Soap refills. They were tampered with and watered down to the point of useless. This is not okay as a cost saving measure if they are watering soap down, what's next?!?!?!

I can see why their shares are falling. Unmarked things are supposed to be $1.50. Get to the cash register and they are more. One item marked on the shelf at one price was more other receipt. Not worth the trip. Very few things are cheaper than superstore and of lesser quality. Bad business practice, unclear pricing, and costly.

If you are not Indian do not come this dollar store! The Indian worker from today is an old hag who is the rudest customer service rep I’ve seen in my life. Their Apple Pay was not reading my card, (it’s worked everywhere else) & I was trying to send the money to my friends phone so she can add apple pay to her phone (she did not have her wallet with her( and the stupid Indian worker said she has to call her manager, I quickly sent my friend the money &. The worker called her manager and told her manager “they don’t have any money” when the Apple Pay wasn’t working! First of all you d*** old Tika masala Puti, your Apple Pay wasn’t working 2) you’re racist and ignorant 3) why are you assuming we don’t have money ? You seen us tapping our card, and the debit machine was not reading the card, why did you not say “Apple Pay isn’t working for them” you automatically said “we don’t have money” then when my friend was ready 30 seconds later, we tried to pay for our stuff but she let 17 people after the line ahead of us. When I told her just let me finish it, she said let these people go first becus you guys made them delay. First of all there was a long line up before we even came in the store! You guys had 1 till register open with one worker! That’s your problem. Hire more people and have more employees and the line won’t be to the other side of the store ! Stupid worker and stupid manager. They insulted us in our face. We will come terrorize their dollar tree every single day until they both are fired. If you’re reading this I will get you fired
