They are OK they’re better for supplies for your comic books like sleeves and boards and dividers half the time I go here they don’t even have the comic that I’m looking for if you’re looking for a good store, go to we have issues just off Whyte ave they Call themselves comic King but there more like comic Rip off. They won’t even take your old comics in for in-store credit but everything I’ve taken to. We have issues they’ve taken in and Given me in-store credit if you want a real comic king go to we have issues not only are they better but they’re cheaper instead of paying $8 - $12 dollars a comic you’re looking at like $3-$8 unless you’re looking at rare comics He’s a ripoff artist he’ll even tell you that he has these Fancy comics boxes for $12 but if you go, we have issues they have the same boxes for $15 and they’re are twice the size seriously I only go to comic King if I have to I’ll literally travel from Westmount to whyte ave Instead of getting ripped off and he’s a savage, because more then half of his freaking comics aren’t even boarded That’s how he gets you. He doesn’t board any of his comics so instead. He makes you pay $.30 per bag and board people say a lot but when you’re buying Like 60 or 70 comics like I do It gets pretty expensive sure, he offers a 30% off when you buy $50 worth But the thing is you don’t get very much you pay $50 Worth and you get like at most Most places I go to I can get for like 15 comics for like $60 this guy is a straight up, rip off artist

Tyler (the owner), truly lives up to the name "Comic King". Not only is he the only one in the industry that gave me the time of day, but he also bestowed incredible insight and knowledge to me. As a fellow professional, I was disheartened by the level of disrespect and rudeness by every other place I called before reaching out to Comic King. I had almost lost hope in finding the help I needed. Then along came Tyler and he went above and beyond. I Can't say enough good things. Highly recommend!!

As the name says, truly the Comics King. Great selections of back issues and graphic novels with prices ranging from 1$, 2$, 5$, 8$ and more. Found some of the rarest comics I always wanted. ? recommended for comic collectors.

Comic King is an institution in Edmonton. This store is swimming in comics. The back issue selection is superb. It’s easy to forget that they do stock new product as well. Another reviewer summed it up perfectly: “Excellent deals, good selection, friendly staff.

This is one of my favorite places to go for comics, graphic novels, and once upon a time manga. The team is informative and always willing to help, but they also don't follow you around the shop. I like to browse at my own pace and I do that comfortably here. Truly a gem in the city.

This place is a joke for selling. 3 times I've gone in with a stack of comics all different genres from the 60s to present. Even some signed books. Some i even bought from there. Everytime he flips through them all with the same response. Nothing here I can use..I asked him so what books can you use. Idk I'll know when I see them. Clown. Never again.

When I was a kid, use to love comics. It was a way for me to escape from reality, reading comics like spider man, captain America, avengers, x-men, and even Maverick lol! We were from Legal, a small town about 40 minutes north of Edmonton and I would only get to come to the city every 3-4 months, and was dependent only if there was no school on a Monday. As it was the day that my dads restaurant closed and my dad would take me and my brothers to Edmonton to buy restaurant supplies. Comic King was my favourite places to visit. I was probably 8 years old at the time and I would ask my dad to take us there until I was 15. I was a shy kid so I never really got to know the owner at the time. I would always keep to myself and read comics silently. Sometimes I would be there for a long time reading without buying and that never bothered the owner and staff. Made me feel really welcomed just coming there, whether I bought a single comic book, hockey cards or even a plastic comic sleeve. When they got computers at the time, my brothers and I would play StarCraft - as back home, we only had 1 computer. 2on2 team player became super fun! It was super disappointing when our dad would finish restaurant supply shopping and picked us up and we had to end our game. ?Today, I stepped inside Comic King for the first time in over two decades, filled with nostalgic memories and finally met the owner, Tyler. Such a great dude, and I was glad to hear that he’s still running Comic King. I now live in vancouver, pursuing a career as a filmmaker and have just made my first very own comic. I just wanted to say thank you for always welcoming me and my brothers in your store, and allowing the stories and artwork of all the talented artists you brought to us, inspiring me to make my first comic. Comic King will always have a place in my heart, thank you Tyler and the rest of the staff at Comic King! ❤️??

Comic King is a great Comic book Store, came in looking for a bunch of back issues for Christmas presents and the older gentleman stayed past his shift to help find all the issues that they had buried in their treasure trove. Thanks
