We stopped here out of curiosity and we were really happy that we did! The storefront is a little small, but I believe they have many birds in back rooms. Once through the door you are immediately aware of the myriad of bird voices, some talking, some singing, and some calling for attention. We enjoyed watching the interactions between a green parrot and a Macaw in the cage right next to him. Every time the green bird would start singing (lovely voice and tune) the Macaw would yell "SHUT UP" and the green one would, for a bit, until the pattern would continue to cycle between them. They see wildbird and exotic bird items, including seeds and great bird feeders! They have small to large exotic birds of all kinds. The babies were adorable, and I was introduced to a 4 year old "parrotlet" who was still very tiny. I learned from chatting with the staff there that these birds live for 100 years, and owners have to make provisions in their wills to ensure their birds are taken care of after they pass.
Staff were super helpful and friendly. The store was clean. The birds are all healthy and happy looking. Lots of info/experience available if you have questions about birds and their optimal care and environment. I will be visiting again!
Also I should mention that this store is also available for boarding birds, if you need that type of service.

I've been a customer at Bakers for so many years I can't count. I had to laugh at the guy who gave the poor rating saying a corn husk which was in his seedk mixture was a cigarette butt! Lol when you rate stores make sure you do it fairly. It's obvious it's a corn husbottom guy!!!

Knowledgeable staff and good prices. I bring my birds (green cheeks and sun conure) to board here when I'm out of town and they love it. Highly recommend for boarding.

There was so many cages piled all around you couldn't even see most of the birds. They had a baby cage with young/baby parrots crammed into a tight cage that I wouldn't even put a hamster in let alone 9 babies and 2 adults with little room to stretch and move. Also the young cockatiels that were up for sale did not look like there were 12 weeks old (which is usually when hand rearing finishes) I would NOT board my bird there as the boarder cages are small and literally piled on top of each other. Also while trying to sell someone a bird the owner was showing him border birds rather than his own birds because his birds seemed to be buried 3 cages deep. The staff was friendly, but the owner seemed to come across quite harsh.

Paul and his team are fabulous... they know birds better than you can even imagine. We have left our cockatiel there multiple for a few nights each time.. he is always kept safe, and I am never worried about anything. We are contemplating on getting our Lil guy a friend and will definitely be getting them from Paul. Birds are well taken care of, bred, and boarded all with ease. Their selection of food and toys are way better than most stores and very competitive in price, considering it's a better food. The selection of birds that they have in house is vast, and I really enjoy just hanging out and visiting the birds... must check this place out!!!!

Bought a IRN parrot here about 8 months ago and the staff and owner have been extremely helpful with my bird as it's my first time owning a bird. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get there first bird.

Bakers bird shop is the absolute premier place to go for everything aviary. Probably the most knowledgeable staff in all of alberta possibly even Canada. Found everything I need and more for my budgies and finches, and I'll be looking into getting a larger bird from them in the future! 11/10

This is an experiance if you haven't gone.= Big Birds.The birds get let out and the owners do love them and the birds do get flight time.
