Honestly the best vehicle service center I've ever had to deal with. Extremely fair and pleasant to deal with, the gentlemen behind the counter make sure that the customer comes first and it shows. Would recommend to all my friends and family without hesitation!

Just got a couple of my tires repaired here. Such a great experience, especially as a woman who knows almost zero about cars and hates being pressured/feeling like I’m just being sold on something. The guys at the front desk were all extremely friendly, the service itself was quick, and they even gave me a golf towel after they found out I’m a golfer. Overall, such a great experience and will absolutely come back for any other issues!

A-1 Tire and Batttery is a place to avoid as the quality of service they provide is absolutely terrible. I have been (now was) a customer for many years, however the most recent repairs - May through July 2024 have been nothing but A-1 created problems. Work that should not have been done, was done and incorrectly. And quite frank incompetence, was shown and the service desk is too busy to listen to the customers needs, to get the right information. They never explain what was done. Just hand you the bill and make you pay, and out the door before the ink is dry on the invoice!!! Work only half-done - e.g. engine coolant not completely filled and with the wrong type. Go elsewhere, or risk serious engine damage and severe damage to your pocketbook - as this is ridiculous, and expensive, to take several attempts to do simple repairs and leave you the customer with a very unsafe work/repair , to the pocket book and to my/your vehicle. Minus ten stars.I repeat avoid A-1 Tire and Battery - at ALL COST!!!! Maybe they, A-1 should close the business and retire, as they have now used up their best before date. Get out of the business of car repair - NOW!!!

I used to have a caring garage owner that took care of me as if I were a family member and that my family's safety was important to them. After they retired, it took me a long while to discover A1 Tire and Battery. Here you will experience that same family experience and caring that you need that other service retailers no longer provide. I am glad to have found a new home to land my vehicle servicing. Make sure you give them a try. You will find that you too will become enthused with what the staff at A1 have to offer.

Not just tires and batteries. I brought them (it limped into their shop) a 21 year old Kia Sorento and they made it run like a top. Belts, coils, gaskets, plugs, fluids and of course electrical diagnostics.
Friendly and knowledgeable service advisers and excellent, fully licenced mechanics take all the unknowns out of car repair.
No extra services forced on me. No excessive parts slipped in - just a really good job.
I'll be back for suspension work at the end of the month. Given their pricing I will be back for just about everything for this car as long as it's on the road - and that will be a long time thanks to them.

P.S. It's been over a month since I left the above review and my impression has not changed with this second visit today. I've just had my alternator switched out, engine and transmission fluids/filters changed and my error codes cleared.

Absolutely the best family run mechanics in Edmonton. Mark, Lance and Preston are honest, caring, and amazing guys. I wouldn't take my vehicle any place else. Loyal for 25 years and loyal till I can't drive anymore...so another 40....better stay in business boys!!!!
