Price gouging at its finest. Everywhere else 135-143. Shell here is 159!

Terrible experience. Drunk people were harassing the counter attendant and when the rcmp came and arrested them they said this happens regularly with the same person being the culprit. The owner needs to not have a young woman working by herself in the evenings and also needs to tighten security. I won’t be returning.

Anyone still selling over $2/liter diesel should be fined!! Hope ALL alberta gas stations are going to be held accountable for price gouging!! ?

The slowest gas pumps I've ever used. I'm the only one here( pressure isn't split between multiple pumps) and it still takes 5+ mins to fill up. Every time I come here it's the same problem.

Very friendly staff but the reason for my poor review is - I buy cigarettes and everyday the prices fluctuate $2. I’m very upset. You shouldn’t be allowed to do this

I would give it minus stars but I'm not able!!!!! I went there a couple days ago to buy a prepaid visa. I was splitting the purchase between 2 bank cards, so the first 100$ was approved no prob, however the remainder was declined because of I had reached my daily spending limit in that card. I asked if he would suspend the transaction while I called my bank. He agreed and gave me two receipts to show that it was cancelled and explained that we would start over again. So when I went back In yet again the second transaction was declined, now I was confused because I had just had my spending limit increased!!?? So I called my bank while standing at the counter and the agent & I were trying to figure out what the problem was. After a few minutes I asked if he would put the second half through again, because the agent and I thought we figured it out and it would go through. BUT IT WAS NOT ALLOWED!!!!! The shell station cashier out of the blue had decided the for "security reasons" I could no longer make my purchase with two cards!!!! He proceeded to give me two receipts that showed there were no charges on any transactions. This all happened while I was on the phone with the bank aswell!! So I walked out still on the phone and left with no pre paid visa, thinking that the guy was an a******** Well I got home and unpacked, started to make dinner and my husband came out from the office and said there are two 100$ purchases the shell we just came from. That's when I really started to see red!!!! So not only is the guy an a****** but he also a thief!!! UNREAL!!! My brother was in charge of store training at the corporate level in Husky and I gotta say that this is not considered acceptable treatment of a customer!!!! I will never give them my business again! There is now an investigation of the event and we are still out 200$ for a pre paid visa we didn't even get!!!! BRUTAL!!!!!

Service and staff are fantastic, but Shell should be ashamed of the price gouging they do to cochrane residents, a 15min drive doesn't equate to a 10% price increase over Calgary and it's just a money grab. This was brought up on the news 2 weeks ago and they adjusted prices for a week before jacking them back up.

Fuel is always more expensive in this place, the price is almost constant. I live nearby but I won't fuel there anymore until they adjust prices like any other gas station.

Am very curious why Shell in Cochrane is consistently more expensive than the city: at least $0.04 /ltr ! Why?? It is this reason that I will only use your stations in case of desperation, and fill up in Calgary. Be fair and reflect the same price as Calgary, and SUPPORT the town you are making your living from.

Fuel is more expensive than all the other places in Cochrane. Staff is hit and miss with friendliness. Whoever runs the night shift seems to hate customers. Supposed to be open 24 hours, but doors are regularly locked with cashier behind counter. They also raise the price of regular on the sign at night. Not sure if pumps reflect that. I live in fireside but travel out of my way for fuel and convenience store to avoid this place

Well, if I was going to rate my overall experience with Shell, I would have to say that for the most part the staff is very friendly. However, this morning I went there, arriving at 2:05 AM to pick up a couple of things before I went home to bed. I live very close by, so it was a convenient stop. What was decidedly inconvenient, however, was the fact that the gentleman that was "Working" was nowhere to be found. I knocked on the glass with my cell phone, after waiting for five minutes. Over the next 10 minutes I proceeded to kick and wrap on the windows, though not hard enough to cause any damage. The sound would have been quite loud inside the building. After 15 minutes had passed, the worker came out and apologized because he said he was in the cooler. Firstly, my headlights were shining right into the cooler and he was not in there. Secondly, he would have heard me and seen me had he been in the cooler. So, I can only conclude that he was taking a nap. I get it. I need sleep too. The difference is, that I sleep on my own time. While I was there waiting, another young lady came by and expressed that this has happened to her before. She left without waiting for the store to open. If you are the proprietor of this location, I would suggest that it would be in your best interest to seek a different employee he does not feel entitled to sleep during his shift.
