Absolutely horrible return policy. The purpose of a return policy is to acquire good favour with your customers. Only being able to return unopened and unused products makes their return policy worthless. You have to open/use a product to verify that it works. I bought a pair of ear buds but the connection cable did not match my device. When I went to return them the manager was rude and condescending. Absolutely shameful.

Had the worst experience here this year. I was sold a damaged book, and when I tried to return it even when I had a receipt, I needed a manager, but the manager is never there. The second time I came a lady who “knew who I was” and “sold me the book” said that the book was in worse condition than when I bought it. Which is funny because a male cashier sold me the book, and I only ever talked to two people at the store. So not only are lies being made up about students, the managers are never there in the first place.Thanks Ucalgary bookstore, for making your students lose money added on an already expensive tuition. That money could have bought me a couple of meals.

The staff sometimes doesn't know if the in store deals are online as well. Like the T-Shirt/Hoodie bundle should be a deal online as well not just in store. Lanyard quality feels not $5 more like $2. Large store as well with variety of school supplies and clothing.

I ordered a book online for someone else to pick up on my behalf. The first person I spoke with said that it is not a problem, but she needed the name of the individual as she will update the system and on pickup, that individual would have to show ID. I called back an hour later, and spoke to another person, as I needed to correct the spelling of the name of the individual picking up my book. The process was completely different. At first he didn't understand what I was asking for. Then he spoke to someone else to ask about the process when someone else picks up an online book order, and the person told him to just show the email confirmation that the book is ready to be picked up. When I questioned why the process was so different from the first person I spoke with, he couldn't answer and said he didn't know. I asked him to leave a note because I was now concerned my friend couldn't pick up my book for me. During entire conversation, the associate just seemed confused and also didn't really care whether I actually got my book or not. Baffling that they do not have a standardized procedure in place and associates do not seem well trained. This is the university...very disappointing!
