Learn from my bad experience! I absolutely do not recommend buying a used car from Universal Ford Lincoln Calgary or booking at their service department. For the past three and a half months the ongoing car issues I have experienced are trouble accelerating, jerking/shaking while driving/changing speeds and oil leaks. I have been communicating with Loren (service advisor), Amit (service manager), Jordan (guest experience manager) and Shawn (dealership manager) with no resolution. I bought my Ford Escape back in November 2023 and had transmission issues 4 days after purchasing the car (see picture from November 26, 2023 "transmission fault"). I immediately I notified my sales rep and they couldn't get my car in service for a week and than took weeks to figure out the actual issue. Luckily I had paid $600 for the three month warranty because they had to replace the whole transmission, valve body and torque converter. The second time was due to trouble accelerating, jerking/shaking while driving/changing speeds but they were "unable to replicate them" until I proved them on a test drive...They explained one of the parts that they replace were faulty. They replaced it and and "fixed" an oil leak. This helped for a short while until I took the car to a reputable mechanic and he told me he found two separate oil leaks and that my filters needed to be changed immediately. I was shocked and irritated because Ford service had just had my car. The third time in service they could not find the leaks but said I had one seep. They fixed the seep and returned the car to me, that same day I got it the check oil light was flashing.... They did not know why. The fourth and final time my car was in service when they gave me the car back and experienced shaking and accelerating issue severe than ever before. Communicating with this dealership is exhausting and they will give you the run around regardless if it is service or management. THIS SERVICE TEAM EITHER HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR ARE SIMPLY WASTING TIME! My car was in service for 5 weeks over the three and half month period. It's taken many emails, calls, texts and in-person meetings to get to this point. Through multiple conversations with Universal management and the sales team it is evident this dealership doesn't stand by their used cars at all yet encouraged me to buy a more expensive used car from them? They are absolutely delusional. All the options given to me would benefit the dealership and have no consideration for my time, money and/or energy. BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

We had an amazing experience at universal ford when trading in our vehicle on a New F150. Kelsey Lafont is a great salesperson and very knowledgeable. She went to great lengths to find exactly what we were looking for. Kelsey is very personable and made us feel at home while we considered all our options. We really appreciated feeling like Kelsey had our backs and we could trust she would get us the best deal. Hailey was also wonderful to deal with as she was willing to answer all our questions and worked in partnership with Kelsey.

I had mechanical issues with my vehicle and Loren at Universal Ford was the best service advisor I have ever dealt with. He kept me up to date on my vehicle and walked me through everything. Loren is friendly, courteous and detailed. I highly recommend that you deal with Loren when you go to the Universal Ford service centre.

If I could give less stars I would. Very poor parts service. Customers are an inconvenience to members of the staff. I was scouting out information for a new to me ford truck I bought and was talked to like a 5 year old. I Will never bring my truck in for regular service. The parking lot is confusing and in need of a refresh. Dealer principal really needs to address.

I received a recall letter from Ford and decided to visit their service center to verify its accuracy. An employee confirmed the recall and scheduled an appointment for me at 10 am on Thursday. I arrived promptly at 10 am, dropped off my car, and was informed that it would be ready by 3 pm. However, at 2:18 pm, I received a text stating that they were still waiting for a technician and the completion time was pushed to 4 or 5 pm. Despite the delay, I remained understanding. Unfortunately, at 4:11 pm, I was notified that they were unable to complete the recall service. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated as this wasted my entire day, causing me to fall behind on other important tasks. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with their service, and I regret purchasing a car from this company.Even they don’t deserve a star i wish i could give them -0 because of their poor service. I absolutely dislike this company. I would never ever recommend them to anyone.

My experience with universal ford has been an absolute disaster. They sold me a vehicle and within a couple of months the front hub failed. To which I found out this was a recalled part that was unavailable. And they were unable to help me with my vehicle. Let me add that the part and the vehicle were still all under warranty. Saying there's nothing they could do So they offered me the option to purchase a new vehicle with no deduction in cost. Or help. Later I find out that <3 weeks later. The vehicle has been fixed and sold. When this was brought to your attention you denied everything.And to top things off and to make matters worse. The fact that you guys did not like my review. That I gave you. You bombarded me with multiple members of your staff even having one of your staff members offer me a $1000. Cash to change my reviewhat kind of people are you? And how do you treat your employees along with your customers? I myself will never come back to universal Ford I could go on and on about the other multiple issues that I have had with your service department. But I think everybody can read between the lines and make up their own decisions from here. Shop elsewhere not at universal ford

I have worked in automotive for nearly 5 years. In and out of service departments and dealerships, mostly in Ontario. All the different makes and models.Universal Ford has been the worst experience every time I bring my truck here. Their service department is the most disorganized unprofessional group of kids that are just here for a paycheque. Everytime I come here they are all just hanging out at the service counter messing around and drinking coffees. It’s a very unprofessional appearance considering the service itself is awful. The one girl at the service desk seems clueless all of the time. The customer service manager is nice enough and actually took half a minute to go to the back shop to get confirmation of my vehicle status after I had called 30 mins prior and didn’t get a call back or a straight answer.I have had a ford truck for 3+ years and the service I would receive in Ontario far out weighs anything I have received here. They really need to work on their hires and perhaps put some work into their service department.

Very poor service for repairs. The one star is because the people are nice but the service is the worst I've ever had. The car wasn't ready when they said and was told about 5-6 times that it was ready for pick up when it wasn't. Took 3 weeks instead of the one that was promised. The estimate was twice as much as originally stated. Would not recommend.
