I’ve been consigning and shopping at Trend for 22 years! I was 18 when I started l, taught all my friends how to consign there, and even though I live in Toronto now I still come back to Calgary and always visit. My fav finds was a chunky gold MK watch in 2008, William Wrast jeans in 2010, and a skirt when I was 20 that I still have! They used to carry a makeup line called Lit I think? I wore the purple sparkles at my high school graduation in 2002! This store is a Calgary icon. I hope it stays there forever!

All employees on this cold cold day were absolutely fantastic. Charlie in particular was awesome, and hyped up all of my outfit choices. Would shop here again!

Came here on Black Friday and everything was 20% off - I tried on a dress and ended up deciding to buy it. The cashier got distracted telling a story when she was ringing me up and forgot to add the discount. The transaction had gone through at this point and she said theres no refunds.I didn't want a refund for the dress I just wanted the sale price that they had offered and then forgot to add. She said she'd be able to give me the difference from the till but called up another employee to check. She then says she can't actually pull from the till because then the till would be off and she'd have to explain that to the manager (when I pointed out she could explain that she charged me wrong, she said she still couldn't do that).When the other girl arrived she said there was nothing she could do. I was started to get a bit frustated because they were just saying they can't help me but it was a mistake on their end?? How do you have no way to refund if you enter the transaction wrong??The 2nd employee said she could reach out to her manager to e-transfer me but it wasn't worth it for a transaction this size. The discount would've been about $7. I understand this is not alot of money but based on the circumstances I would have appreciated them sending this. I bought the item expecting to pay the sale price and most likely wouldn't have purchased it at the regular price. I explained this to both gals and they said there is nothing they can do at all. This was such an uncomfortable experience - both employees were really unhelpful and unfriendly, and I left feeling scammed and embarrassed.Theres lots of other fun shops in Kensington to go to - definitely skip Trend.

Terrific store currating quality brand name clothing and accessories professionally and pays attention to detail. Staff are always friendly and attentive and after 20 + years the store is still thriving with innovative new fashion coming through the door each and every day of the week....A must see and shop

I wouldn't bring my things here. They advertise that they don't accept fast fashion, but seldom to never do you see brand named things in there with the exception of Lulu, and the two times I've dropped off bags my highest quality/most expensive items (Aritzia pants, North Face Vest, and a 200 euro dress worn once and drycleaned prior to drop off) were deemed "not acceptable for sale". Both times I asked for justification and both times they were shady. Shocker, my less expensive stuff was accepted for sale.If you consign there with nice things make sure you leave a note with your items that if they choose not to sell them that you want them back. Otherwise don't be surprised if your nicest stuff happens to not be accepted because they "weren't quality" and was instead "donated". I'm happy to donate things to charity if they won't sell, and I always being about 3 bags to charity to my one bag to consignment. If I am bringing to consignment, it's because it's expensive and I'm hoping to make money from it. but it always happens to be my most expensive/best condition things that "aren't acceptable" here.This is an honest review. I have not had these experiences in other consignment stores in YYC. I'm not a keyboard warrior and if you sort through my reviews, you'll see no one star comments on any other businesses. That's how disappointed I am. Highly recommend Peacock instead if you have items you expect to make good money from.

I just went there today at 5:00 p.m. I ask the staff the girl for a large top, she said good luck with that, just look around, size large does not concern us. That was so rude, I left in silent to buy to the next shop. She must really hate her job the poor thing.

I have been a trend gal for over 20 years! I started working there when I was 17, I’m 41 now. I know the ins and outs of the business like no other. I felt like I should come on here and give an honest review, I am someone who not only worked there when I was younger, but I’ve been consigning there since! I’ve lived in BC now over a decade and I still make the trek to Trend Calgary to consign my clothes as there just is no other consignment shop like it! They take only the good stuff, being the pickiest of the pickiest keeping up with the trends of fashion, and whatever they don’t keep goes to women in need. That right there is huge and trust me I’ve been to these shelters and these women couldn’t be happier to get the clothes that we no longer care to own. A simple piece of clothing means more to them then you know.Ladies bring your clothes in CLEAN and in the current trend and you too will be overjoyed at the money you can make!Thank you so much Trend Calgary! You make consignment a breeze and I can’t wait to be back to find the next goodies for my closet!

I have had an account with Trend Fashions for over 15 years. Both my mom and sister also have "original" accounts here as well and we all agree it's the best place to consign at in the city. Easy, efficient and very trustworthy. I love when I have the chance to cross paths with the owner, as she will always make the effort to make your day better. A staple location in Kensington.

Really like shopping here! And the staff is wonderful. I usually consign with another place but at the time I had just moved and it was quite far away. Couldn’t wait to try consigning my clothes because friends of mine have been doing it forever and rave about how great it is and how all of their stuff gets sold and they’ve never had a time where their clothing isn’t consigned. I decided to give it ago the next time my friend was taking her clothing in. I thought I would check my account a while later. I was disappointed that to find out they didn’t choose any of my items. I know that what they choose to put out is up to their discretion but I gave them 3 entire bags of either brand new or barely used ( washed) clothes from brands such as Aritzia, j crew, lulu lemon, dynamite, including a 130 dollar dress and a jacket that was worth 150 never been worn. Some still even had their tags on. So I was just a bit confused on their picking process because all of my friends items got chosen and they were very well loved and from about 4 or 5 seasons ago. I also have shopped there and not to be rude but there was definitely items on the floor that were much poorer quality than what I had given them. Its frustrating because I could have gone to my usual consignment shop, which usually lists all my items in a heart beat. Will not consign with them again.
