I was so disappointed on Chrismas Eve. Sunterra was advertising everywhere that they could deliver Christmas Dinner. We ordered the whole deal - turkey, sides, etc. I was surprised, but excited, to see they had delivery spots Christmas Eve - we snagged a 4-6pm slot. Perfect! At 4, no delivery. Nothing at 5. Nothing at 6. Nothing at 7... At this point I called - closed, no afterhours/delivery contact. Nothing at 8... At this point we ordered takeout since clearly it wasn't going to be in time for dinner. At quarter to 9 it showed. Not a word of apology or explanation from the driver. Everything cold. I left voicemail and email with Sunterra asking them to get back to me. I know it was Christmas Eve and snowy and things happen. And if they'd taken a moment to respond, I'd have understood. But it's now been a week with no response whatsoever. I will never trust their delivery/catering again and I am SHOCKED by how poor their customer service is.

Ruined Christmas dinner. I ordered their Christmas feast for our Christmas Eve dinner. I ordered it in November- and paid for the privilege. On Christmas Eve...nothing! No food, no message, no phone call. Nothing. Don't trust them- they will ruin your celebration.

Colossal disappointment. Just wasted $7 on an egg salad sandwich at Britannia Sunterra! Looked great in dim light..but was without any flavour of anything. Flat, crumbly, dry, with one very wilted piece of lettuce on what seemed like day-old bread...supposedly made today. Will never go back. Off to Wendy's for their incredible caesar. :D

Sunterra used to have good food. Now they don't. You get better quality from No Frills.

I like Sunterra. I was just not thrilled with my last visit. Yes, it was the Day before Christmas. The Parking lot was packed. But the customers were nice, even pleasant. I went to the produce department, where what did I find but the floor manage yelling at her staff, at the top of her lungs. From one end of the department to the next. At best it was jarring and sad. But I was there I just needed 2 pounds of strawberries, how hard could that be? Well they were marked up to $9 a pound. While not thrilled, I gave up on the Strawberries and headed for the bakery, but what did I find? 2 stock boys hiding from the screaming manager. Yet, I need Bread, which if memory serves were also market up. A lot. So I took my coupon for a box of free cookies ($25 value) and fled. I went to another grocery store in the area (No Frills) and found that the Strawberries were only $6 a pound (still I believe marked up, but at least affordable) and the bread I needed marked 50% off. Then I realized - no one, not the customers and not the staff - were yelling. How delightful. And to all, a merry Christmas.

Have been thinking abt. the delicious burgers at W. Market Square for the past seveal mos. Finally got there today. Oh my..so disappointing. The burger was almost raw...so rare...I had to get it cooked more so I could eat it. But even then, the once delectable charbroiled local beef burger is now done on the grill and is flat and uninteresting and smaller. And...the thin, very thin, sm. slice of tomato has replaced the generous sometimes 2 large slices of tomato. There's more. The side caesar was 1/2 the size of the salad I had there last time. And the lettuce was crumpled and dry. Ubelievable. Must say, tho', the in-house caesar dressing was stellar, as always. And when I pointed out the probs. with the food, the staff was very gracious and helpful and tried to recify the probs. But to be very honest....I was just relieved to just get out of there. Time to soothe with some sugar...YES! So off to the bakery and ST's yummy bakery treats. They would soothe my palate and spirit. So..I bought this gorgeous Nanaimo bar...$3.99. A bit pricey, but it would be worth it. Guess what...it had no flavour of anything...no chocolate, no vanilla, no coconut...flat and tasteless. So, it's farewell Sun Terra cafe at West Market Square. I've learned my lesson...and so has my wallet. I blew $20 bucks. Lesson learned.

This location is in a reasonable location for me, just outside the downtown core, off a couple of main roadways and includes plenty of parking. There is a reasonable selection of produce and a good selection of prepared food, such a fresh baked bread, meals-to-go and even a restaurant on site for a quick bite. I needed something nice for Christmas Eve and ended up with two options. The tourtiere was authentic and fresh. The crust was flaky, with a lovely brown wash and the filling was delicately seasoned - YUM! I also picked up a ham dinner to-go and it was alright but overpriced at ~$30 each, which I felt to be steep for something like that. Upon asking, they substituted my dessert, which was appreciated. It included a citrus salad with pomegranate (okay but not great), squash soup which was creamy and my stomach can't tolerate, three slices of ham, undercooked broccolini and carrot, as well as mashed potatoes each. So, I guess it could be considered 'four course' and hence the price, but their other Friday grab-and-go packs are more reasonable and I'd recommend a pass on the holiday meals. I won't be doing it again. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and helpful, although they seemed a bit overwhelmed for the holidays. Regardless, it was well stocked & clean. I was able to pick up some other needed items as well.

One of my favorite Market to visit for high quality items & their brunch food menu. This is where I buy Stollen (Fruit Bread) every season. Every time I purchase items from this establishment, I am always satisfied with the purchase. The food & coffee are well made & just the right amount of seasoning. I would go here more often for breakfast if it wasn't so far out to get here.

While I love the concept of Sunterra's restaurant food offerings which are prepared to order at a reasonable price, I was sadly disappointed with my meal. I walked in with a craving for tofu and veggies on rice (not typical of me!) and was pleased to see exactly that on their menu board for a mere $6.49. What came out was a goopy brown mess, so salty and distasteful that I was embarrassed for them. Perhaps the cook has a "more is better" philosophy when he poured the entire jar of stir fry sauce on my plate. Perhaps even worse was the condition my husband's side salad was in. You know when you find that forgotten bag of salad in your fridge, all brown and sad? It's ok if I try to serve it in your own home, but not what i'd expect at a place that boasts fresh, wholesome food.

This is my fave Sunterra. Not sure if it's because it is also head office but love the increased selection (compared to Britannia) and appreciate the bakery on site. Perfect for grocery shopping, picking up fresh meat and cheese or a quick dinner. This has quickly become my fave grocery store. Also helps to have a Starbucks next door.

Sunterra is pretty consistent at all locations with similar menu items and grocery layout. This location is in a convenient location if you live in the south but is probably my least favourite of all the stores because they have less selection when it comes to take out foods. They have a small bakery section, but wonderful desserts that taste amazing! When you first walk into the market, you will experience a small cafeteria area so people can meet and have coffee. Provides a cozy atmosphere and makes the shopping experience more natural and convenient.

Sunterra Market has multiple locations, but this one is in a residential neighbourhood; most of the others are downtown. Brunch specials are $6-8 per dish, and the portions are smallish but tasty. The specials are limited before 11AM but after that the selection widens a lot. A great casual dining place, and modestly priced.

I miss the old Sunterra - good service, staff that care you're there. I was there today wanting to buy flax seed oil and clarified coconut oil. I looked at the shelf and couldn't see. Ask 3 employees who passed and all said they'd have to get someone else. No one else came by so I left. One em Pl Moyer actually said " you should try to find someone by the check out, they might know." That was not helpful. I left without what I wanted .

The groceries here are insanely expensive, but it's a nice place to pick up a grab and go meal on a night you don't feel like cooking. Try the "pie in a cup". It's literally just a piece of pie wedged into a plastic cup with whipped cream squirted on top, but Sunterra's pie recipes are fantastic. In particular, I love the pecan pie as it's not so much a traditional pecan pie filling as it is a dense cup of pecans held together with syrupy goodness.
