I do not know where to begin to thank Andy (the owner) and Starlight Electronics for the exemplary professional service I received from a recent repair job that no other shop or person in the entire city could offer me. Long story short, I have been to Source, Best Buy , several computer parts and electronics store to try to get a simple electronic control switch/pad (to operate a table from moving up and down) repaired. When I was almost desperate and feel hopeless, I was referred by another electronic shop to contact Andy. Andy was patient in hearing my “problem” and told me to bring the parts to his shop to see what he could do ? After examining the parts, Andy said he would try his best to fix it for me but because of its complexity it might need over a week to see if he could even order parts for it. ( note: the original manufacturer is already out of business). However, in only 2 days, Andy called me and said he out in a rush order for me and it’s fixed! He said if it doesn’t work, bring it back
to him immediately and he will try to fix it again. Of course, the part is working perfectly now. Andy only charged me a very minimal about for his labour and parts and the invoice is more than reasonable and fair. Andy is so knowledgeable, knows exactly what he is doing, competent and extremely professional. Thank you Andy, yiu are the gem of the industry and thank you, thank you , thank you.

This guy is so ugly rude and dishonest, we should have learned from the first time we came to his shop.. same appliance a speaker karaoke machine we brought into his shop just to fix the mic input.. I paid $30 in advance since if ever he needed to buy that mice input for replacement.. the next day he called just to tell me that he checked the machine and told me that it’s unfixable and ready for pick up anytime.. so I came the next day and he told me that the problem was the motherboard and when I ask what’s gonna happened to my 30bucks to my shock he replied to me that nothing is free here in Canada that $30 is for his consultation fee. Easy money for the rude guy.. and now this same machine is working perfectly well with just $10 cost for the little piece that just needed to replace(mic input) which has been done by other shop.. And just for this Rude Guy information the motherboard that you were saying was the problem turned out perfectly fine and no problem at all.. Scammer

The tech was professiona, effective and efficient. He soldered a control board for my dryer that had ver fine wires and foil under the connector. It works great again! Appliance repair shop wanted $725 for a replacement control board. Starlight fixed mine for less than $200. Awesome!

A real bad person, rude, lying and dishonest…….Words beyond to describe our felling being mistreated by this shop person. We really wish the store is never there and we have never been in that bad store.We brought in a 55’ Samsung TV and paid $30. TV had power on and off problem, but the image and sound of TV were fine without any problem. Three days after he phoned and told that it was the problem of TV mother board. We agreed to order and replace it. Three weeks after we called him and asked about the TV. He said to call him back next day. I did call him next day and was told the TV has been repaired. After we walked in the Shop, we were very shocked to know that TV was not repaired but it turned even in a worse problem. The TV screen was half black and half image and the whole TV frame was scratched badly. When we asked him what he did with TV but only got his rude replay saying the screen was bad. We just could not believe that he did not even know who we are and which TV was ours and what the problem was when we brought it in. No record, no file, nothing could prove what he did or when he did. When we asked him if he ordered the mother board of TV, he could not prove he did. Whatever he did on TV was made even worse than it was before.

what a horrible experience it had been dealing with this business person! He sold me a (very) old (1999) surround sound receiver in mid December in which he gave me a 3 month warranty. ! it stopped working by january. i returned it and he replaced it with another, slightly newer one (2003?) and it failed/ stopped working by mid February. I returned with it and he said he would look at it. He called me the next day and said I "blew it up" and he wasn't going to replace it or give me my $$ back b/ c the warranty had expired. the next day I went back to the store to chat with him and when I walked in the door the door chime rang and he stumbled out from the back with an extremely bloodshot face. it reeked of alcohol in the shop. I had brought a copy of the original sales receipt because he had told me on the phone it had been more than 3 months . It clearly showed the purchase date on the receipt. After showing this to him He still refused to refund or replace. I told him I would show it to a lawyer and see what they thought. He went ballistic ! he swore, called me f$&@ing stupid (b/ c December was more than 3 months away from February ) he told me to "get the f$&@ out of his store. He threatened to call the police (of which I invited him to do and they could decide what the outcome would be) then another fellow came out from the back and encouraged him to settle down and told me to come back he next day when owner was sober. After about another few minutes of having him swear/ cuss/ call me stupid for not knowing how many months there were from December to February. I chose to leave. I said I'd give the place an Awesome Review online. He said "f$&@ you, no one reads reviews" so thanks for reading ! And if you want an adventure then go to starlight electronics but if you want something fixed, don't.
