Went for a job interview almost got selected for the position by the store manager but later was told by an employee that the filipino supervisor would only hire a filipino.. SAME at MILLRISE location.. they would hire someone with no experience in sales rather who has 10 years of experience in sales because wasn’t a filipino.just ? was amazed not wondered why they have so much employee turn over . customers always complain about empty shelves most of the time even I witnessed that.Management should stop this nonsense otherwise someday someone will definitely will go legal on them.??

I stopped in at Sobeys Lakeland Ridge to pickup ONE item. The quality of the fruit was dismal so I didn't purchase any. On my way out, I stopped at the Lottery booth but it was taking too long for the lottery I was interested in to show up on the screen so I left. Actually, I TRIED to leave but this big guy stands in the middle of the aisle and stops me. ✋??? I told him I didn't buy anything and instead of asking if I was able to find everything I was looking for he asks, "can I look in your bag?" I said of course and opened it. Since I didn't lie and I don't steal there wasn't anything in my bag for him to see except for my wallet and the mail I picked up before I started my walk so he waved me on. When I got home I looked in the mirror but nobody suspicious looked back so I don't know why Sobways would accuse me of stealing! ??

They have a sale posted in the flyer prine rib steaks 9.99 a pound they dont have any or the bacon that's on for 3.77 ,I asked for a rain check for both I was told that they were not giving raincheck for these items stating that they didnt know if they were getting them again is this the store policy to not give rain checks all of a sudden or sobeys safeway in particular? Not sure but not the first time i have had issues at this store revolving around rain checks it's fine there are many other stores that honor their policys

Ordered a Birthday cake from Sobeys in Edson Alberta. Called the next day to talk to the Baker to confirm that she had received the email and to discuss. She mentioned that she had lots of time so she got it done early. I was having an image put on to the cake for a birthday for one of our managers at our site. When I went to pick it up later in the evening I was definitely not impressed by her work. The image was slanted not even placed evenly on the cake. Because we work in construction Irequested possibly chocolate bridge mix to represent dirt piles which I was told that they do but use a different method. That wasn’t done except some crust cookie powder. This was definitely done by someone who doesn’t care about her job or what things look like. Very unprofessional and after speaking to the manager he was of no use. Gone are the days of good customer service and I was stuck with these type of people.I should have known that when I called her to make sure everything was OK and she mentioned she got done in a hurry she was not a very pleasant person to talk to. She is definitely in the wrong field of work.

Not a happy place anymore. Lots of crabby customers and miserable staff.The manager “Dennis “ seems to be a real problem for the way he treats his employees. Very disappointed. I have no photos. I have shopped at the 50St 23rd AVENUE Edmonton location for many years. Staff used to be so friendly there. So sad.

Safeway, now a brand of Sobeys, has always had one brutal problem with ALL their stores. There are never enough cashiers. No matter what store we go to, there's only ever one or two cashiers with lineups down the aisles. What a joke.

Trust me folks I found the complaint about Safeway Southview about the poor customer service the rude treatment and I felt like a second class customer wasn't valued customer all over a 15 cents bag that the previous customer left a complaint with the corporate office by nobody's bothered even for me back bunch of bozos they lost my business trust me folks no frills good service friendly people and cheaper wide range of products too
