I absolutely love this grocery store! The floor plan and decor is absolutely stunning and the floors literally gleam with a shine! It is so relaxing to shop here! You literally feel as though you are in “grocery heaven”!
Their floral department has so many arrangements to choose from! Each department goes “above and beyond” what you would see in other grocery stores.
I highly recommend their produce and meat departments. The quality is better than you will find almost anywhere!
If you just want to relax and browse, this store has so much to offer! You will find items that are difficult to find elsewhere. This store is definitely well managed and has so much work and effort put into everything! Our family’s favourite is their take out food at their deli. We have returned again and again! Their food is absolutely delicious, healthy and well prepared!

Our Safeway! Been shopping at westhills Safeway. Absolutely love the renovation. The self check outs are well positioned and easy to use. I like and use often the gas coupons for the shell station.

Careful of the self serve Chinese food from the deli. Ripping people off at this level in these times is unconscionable. You don’t realize it until you weigh it at the till.

I very rarely write reviews, but the cashier that checked me out at this location today named Lindita deserves recognition. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful to me, and the people before and after me in line. Genuinely the nicest cashier interaction I think I have had - ever.

I shopped this evening with my two young children , and we used the carts that have the taxi/ car attached.. ( I’ve used this lots with my kids and have taken it out of the store no problem ever before) I went and paid for my items , and stupid me forgot bags in the car so I just had every item sitting in the cart. As I was walking out a cashier yelled at me saying I couldn’t take the cart outside , I questioned her asking I could bring it right back in? No… she made me take every single item out of the cart and put it in a regular one , as I had my kids with me … honestly so un called for and just plain rude. I’ve NEVER had an issue ever taking it out before , and now it’s an issue ? I won’t be shopping here again.
Also I called to see if I could get an email for the store manager and I’m pretty sure the girl who put my call through didn’t even put it through. Worst shopping experience ever.

I feel there is a small sense of community from the small talk interactions which I find quite pleasant. All of this changed during my last encounter with Anna the cachier. First I had a item on clearance which was marked down and she failed to see it not once but twice when ringing it up. Then she failed to do a prepaid card transaction to which she got a supervisor over who patiently taught her. You would think she would understand how to do it the second time but this time she directed to another cachier that I had to wait in line for again so taking up 10min for such a simple task really left a bad taste. So incompetent seeing Anna spends more effort in gossiping instead of learning how to do her job.

i have shopped in this store every Sunday morning for the last 23 years, since the renovation and the manager has changed it has gone down hill very quickly. They are always out of the specials, the produce department is almost never stocked with even basic green vegetables and as the older staff leaves the new replacements are rude and have no idea of customer service. All the money spent on the renovation is a waste with the way the store is currently being run

Please don’t buy their complements water, we got a case and when I opened the lid, the water literally have this FOUL SMELL to both the lid and the water. I don’t understand how, but it didn’t feel safe to drink it.

Our go to store , Check on the APP “ Flipp “ for Safeway flyer . Then find always good deals . We comparison shop all the time … we find the bull of deals here , great selection and never had a bad time for service . Now I do go mid day when it’s slow .
Great store .
