Walked into the Bonavista Shopping Plaza and the displays that Safeway had put in front of the entrance were fantastic, well done and well stocked up. Walked through the store browsing to see what they had and everything was cleaned, well organized, properly labeled and well laid out. Was able to find everything I needed that day and the customer service from my cashier that day was wonderful. A really great experience I wasn’t expecting to have!

I speak for all of the Safeway’s on this one. The fresh made sandwiches were always top-tier, but they have shrunk down to about half the size. Used to have different choices of bread. Now it’s just white and brown.Very disappointing. You are now effectively paying more for less.I will not support this business anymore.

I’ve been going to this Safeway for the last 27 years and go here every day and always get treated well except today was treated terrible by a new employee there.This gentleman was rude and made me walk backwards on my walker to get the receipt out of a hole in a shield instead of just handing it too me at the end of the counter where I was packing my groceries into bags.I don’t know what his problem was but at my age and condition I don’t need to be disrespected like this at all.A staff member who has been working at this store for as long as I can remember made eye contact with me and shook her head.If you cannot deal with the public,your customers and treat with respect I think you should maybe look for a job where you don’t have to deal with the public.I don’t need to shop at this location,there is another Safeway just down the road and of course there is the Coop too.I hope management deals with this guy asap!

Interesting little plaza. Safeway is a smaller format than is typical, but more than adequate for most grocery needs.
