Great new store same great service!
Been going to Professional Skate since early 1990’s when they were the “go to” store for high end hockey skates (which at the time were custom fit Grafs)! They’ve been consistently one of the best skate sharpeners in town. Some other great ones have since retired, there are still 2 or 3 in the city i would trust, but these guys have been, and are, consistently one of the GOATs!
Glad to see that though they’ve moved into a great new place in a new part of town, they’re just as good and friendly as ever! i encourage you to buy the skate sharpening card, it works out to only $8/sharpening. Which is almost Sportchek cheap but done by true professionals!

Amazing service in the figure skating shop. I was looking to size up on my old skates but the staff recommended a power stretch and I was able to salvage my old skates. Staff are knowledgeable, efficient and professional.

2nd Floor Review (Figure Skating); don't know the 1st floor (Hockey) but they seem sweet.They're not the best with sharpening blades; check your blades before you leave.They had flattened the blade on mine.

Amazing fitting experience with Cole. He took his time, showed me a ton of options and made sure I was making an informed decision. Tried on a number of different pairs and was super happy with the process.Strongly recommend PSS. Great local shop.

For the figure skating side: used to be a lot better but over the last year my skaters (and skaters from every other coach I've talked to) have had a lot of issues from this shop (misaligned blades, flattened rockers, uneven sharpening between outside and inside edges, etc). Then, last week I got my skates sharpened and not only did they flatten the rocker but also shaved down the pick. When I took them back they tried to tell me that the rocker wasn't flat (I've been skating for 25 years and coaching for 8 and also got several other nationally certified coaches to check and it was definitely flat) and that they could just fix the pick (which isn't true because once it's shaved off it can't be added back). As I am also a pair's skater, these mistakes can be highly dangerous and could easily result in broken bones or concussions.

So helpful, got the best fit on my new skates !!! Bought a pair at a big box store and the fit was terrible they heat formed my skates 3 times to make sure they were perfect . Best fit ever !!! This shop is the best in town!!!

Bought my first pair of skates in 20 years today. Nick was amazing in helping me choose the right model. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. I left feeling like I had truly found the best pair for my needs and budget.

Cole was SO helpful and when I went in to get my skates fitted and sharpened. He was extremely personable and a real pleasure to chat with. He gave me some tips on how to how to maintain my skates and didn't make me feel dumb for not knowing too much about skates. He showed me some great options for skates, because I mentioned I might want an upgrade soon. Very knowledgeable about the skates he was showing me, and I didn't feel pressured to make a decision right away. Super awesome experience! Thanks Cole!!
