Very honest and upfront. I brought my old pickup truck in for an emergency diagnostic. Instead of treating me like a cash cow, ownership advised me off all issues wrong and suggested I spend my money on a better vehicle and I appreciate the concern shown on my behalf. I recommend this shop as a rare honest thoughtful mechanic . Thanks for the advice

Update: honest, kind and generous bunch. Don't waste time going elsewhere....On my first visit they Let me know about recommendations before completing the work, during the job. Inexpensive tire swap... Went above and beyond on numerous occasions since. Thank you very much

I heard about this auto repair shop on reddit when searching for honest autobody shops in Calgary. I read it was a good place to take my vehicle to and decided to give it a go. The receptionist, Keely, was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She made sure when she called later that day with a quote to explain everything to me, she even offered to have me come in and show me the parts on my car that needed fixing. That right there made me feel like this was an honest mechanic shop and left me with a good feeling. Not only that, but I also got another call when the car was done letting me know that she was able to save me some money, which was amazing! I have had bad experiences in the past with other shops that left me feeling like they took advantage of me, but Midsun Auto did not do that. I trust this shop and will definitely be back and have already recommended it to my friends and family. Thank you for the excellent and honest service.

Kyle and his teams are amazing! They fixed my car perfectly and quickly without a long wait. The price is reasonable. All the staff are very friendly. I will definitely come back for other services and maintenance.

This is a very different circumstance, but I wanted to let everyone know that there are still great mechanics and places to fix your car in this city. Please take you car to Midsun Auto, amazing staff and genuine people that care and don’t rip you off.
My daughter’s car A/C stopped working in the heat wave of Calgary for the last 2-3 weeks, we phoned around and could not get an appointment within a week at a few places in Calgary. Now, I should let you know that we just recently had a long and painful experience at Woodridge Ford when they replaced her alternator for a small fortune before this happened. We phoned Midsun because of a mechanic that we met worked there and recommended it. We waited for 6 days for our appointment because they are busy which we did not mind.
We dropped the car off on the day that was requested, and they did not have our appointment in their system but took us anyways because they felt bad. Next, we get a call about the vehicle that the A/C is working, and we can pick up the car. I am shocked this happened in about 3 hours.
They then asked me if the alternator was just replaced, and I said yes. They then told me that the previous company ( Woodridge Ford) did not hook up any of the connections back to the A/C unit so therefore it was not working. They fixed it in a matter of minutes and did not charge us for the appointment.
Really!!!!! I offered to pay, and they said it was not fair and no reason for such a small fix. Now I know this is a different situation but please take your car there is you want professionals who really care about their clients and the work they do to work on your car. It will not be free, but honesty is a amazing feature you just do not see anymore.

Great customer service and very honest, I will never go anywhere else for auto repairs. Recently had some problems with my engine misfiring, and though the shop was fully booked, Keely told me to bring it in anyways in case they had a free moment to take a look. I got a call the very next day saying they’d taken a look and already completed the repair! As a young woman, it’s hard to find a shop that has a very skilled team with the clients best interests in mind. After a series of bad experiences with different shops, it was a relief to find Midsun Auto!

Senior citizen, first time here. Everything was perfect from Keely at reception to the excellent technician who did my oil change. I also
Had the transmission fluid drained and filled. He check everything, filled fluids, greased where needed, looked at everything . I stood outside and watched him work. Knowledgeable and careful with my little car. Price was amazing too. I'm very happy . I will be back again.

What an incredible company. Took my 80 yr old Mother’s car in for a suspected minor oil pan gasket leak. After their investigation it turned out to be something other than the oil pan gasket. Actually recommended to manage the leak without the thousands of dollars needed to fix completely (would not be worth it because of the age and kms on the vehicle). 100% class act with their honesty and integrity. Would recommend anybody and everybody to support this company. This kind of honesty in the automotive industry is hard to find.

Out of town, came to have transmission, transfer case and differential fluid checked and changed (not knowing when it was done last time). Within 30 min, I was told all looks good, no need for the replacement. No charge. I offered to at least pay for their time, they insisted no charge. Deer in headlights moment for me. Wow.
Keely, the receptionists, was professional and knowledgeable, answered my questions without making me feel dumb. Thank you, all the best ?

Absolutely the most honest, dependable, and reasonable garage in Calgary. I have used them for roughly 25 years and have always been pleased. Kyle has continued the stellar service legacy set forth by the original owners, Phil and Ron.
