I had a pre-purchase inspection done by these guys. Firstly, trying to get them to actually inspect the vehicle was a headache. They rescheduled and kept postponing the time of the appointment, which was annoying not only for me, but the other person selling the vehicle. After finally showing up, the mechanic, Davoud, said the car needed new brake pads and a transmission fluid flush - no biggie, I negotiated that into the price. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I took it to a mechanic for an oil change who informed me that the whole transmission needed to be replaced. I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion who confirmed this. I called Instamek to enquire and they told me there was nothing they could do. I am now $6000 poorer thanks to the handy work (or lack thereof) of these guys. Also, regarding my brake pads, a different mechanic told me I had at least 10000km's left and that they didn't need to be changed right away, however Instamek was more than happy to charge me $600 to have them replaced. Pretty disappointing.

My shifter in my car has been acting up and I had mechanic David come in and fix it quickly and efficiently, and when the used part also didn't work, they were in top of sourcing a new part immediately under the warranty. David is super friendly and knowledgeable and I'd be happy to have him work on my car again

I have used them before and was impressed. Then one day my Mustang was making weird noises from the top of the engine. I drove a few blocks and it died. I had it towed to my house (thanks AMA). I called Instamek to come out.
I smoke, but not In my house so I sit in my car. Because it wouldn't start I killed the battery. When the tech submitted his diagnosis, he stated the battery was dead and that the engine was seized and would have to be replaced. When I got home, I charged the battery, then tried to start it. The engine turned over fine. It still wouldn't start, but it definitely wasn't "seized". I am seeking a second opinion.

These guys are the worst and would never recommend them to anyone. My brakes went out on my van so I got them to come out and perform a diagnostic for new brake lines. I am a quadriplegic and drive from my wheelchair using hand controls so the drivers-side seat is removed. This guy named Davoud got in my van and started it up. I asked him what he was doing and reminded him there were no brakes. He mumbled something and proceeded to put it in reverse, grab the hand control and gunning it. My van shot out of the stall, jumped the curb into the visitor parking and smashed into a suv that was parked there. According to my insurance provider they refused to take any responsibility for the accident.

Please be careful agreeing to have any work done on your vehicle by Instamek. I was recently provided a quote where they quoted me a price for a genuine Kia part but, in fact, were planning to use an after market part. The price difference was $200. I ended up having this work done by another shop.
I will not be using their services again.

Very poor service provider. don't try to get services from these guys they always cancel the appointment with the excuse that the appointed mechanic is unavailable all of sudden.

severely disappointed. I explicitly asked if they could do the repair during the visit, and I was told yes. yet, the tech came and wasn't prepared at all to do the repair, and wasn't even slotted the time to do it. I also didn't even get a proper diagnosis, and he wanted to come back the next day to finish the diagnosis and charge double. I'm almost feeling scammed.

Very good service from start to finish. Davoud the mechanic arrived perfectly on time and was very knowledgeable. Within about 15 minutes my problem was accurately diagnosed. Davoud went and got the part I needed and returned to fix it within about an hour. There was good communication between myself and the business and I was never wondering what's happening next.All in all I would highly recommend this service. Davoud did a fantastic job and I will be calling them again in the future

Davoud was very helpful and obviously knew what he was talking about. He changed the fuel pump and got the car running. Great guy!
