We normally love this store, but today we unfortunately encountered a red-haired girl with fake lashes at the checkout that was so miserable, muttering under her breath when we turned our backs for a second to unload the cart, and then snapping at us to let her finish scanning items even though all of the items had already been scanned. My elderly mother asked her a simple question and she looked at her as if she was a stupid piece of trash, then said “I have no idea what you’re talking about!” My mom later asked my sister a question, and the girl goes “WHAT? I can’t hear you!” Nobody was even talking to her. It’s sad she’s so miserable so close to Christmas, when customers are coming and spending hundreds of dollars on their loved ones. It’s not always customers that are difficult, lately it’s retail people that are rude first. Let’s all start bringing some awareness to that. If you see this miserable girl, wait for another cashier. Don’t let her ruin your day!

Great products, amazing associates, terrible experience with the assistant store manager. Krysta demonstrated a clear lack of understanding for the basics of customer service. Her responses were dismissive and lacked the empathy expected from someone in a managerial role. I found a perfect piece for my home today however it was slightly damaged, an associate tried to help me find another but unfortunately there was only one. This associate was very helpful and offered to see if the product could be discounted at the till, she came back and said they could do $3 off so I accepted. Upon reaching the till, I mentioned this to the cashier who brought in Krysta to make the adjustment. Krysta decided to take off $2 instead of what the other associate had advised. I explained that although a dollar isn’t a big deal, it’s the principal behind it, she immediately became dismissive and snapped back that in her opinion she wouldn’t even discount it. The right thing to do would’ve been to speak with the original staff member to clear up the miscommunication if any. As a customer, I believe it is crucial for the assistant store manager to embody the principles of customer service, setting an example for the rest of the team. Unfortunately, my encounter with Krysta fell far short of this expectation. I hope that this feedback can be used constructively so that future interactions with this individual are more positive and customer focused.

A big thank you to Vasyl M at this location! Bought a heavy chair and I needed help to get it in my car. Vasyl was finishing his shift. He overheard that I need help and waited to help me take the chair out to my car. I offered him a tip and he refused to take it. When I went back again to look for another item he remembered me! Wonderful customer service and now I go out of my way to shop at this location! Thanks again Vasyl!!!!

I have been to HomeSense locations in Toronto and other cities. I have visited a couple of HomeSense stores in Calgary, too.The modern home furnishing and houseware store at this location is enormous - much bigger than the other stores, so a plethora of a great deal of items are very well-organized and displayed in wider aisles and areas giving it an appearance of a very spacious store which is not cramped in spite of having a lot of merchandise.The store has an array of furnishings, a great number of enticing gift items, and plenty of fads as well as pleasing artifacts at unbelievable prices.The entire store areas and washrooms were pretty clean and well-maintained, and the staff were helpful.

From home goods to garden accessories, this spot has it all. Easy parking situation and friendly staff. Also, plenty of doggos to pet if you’re into that sort of thing.

Visit here often, always something new. Very creative and unusual home items. Clearance items can be a real bargain on already fair prices.Lots of fun.
