“We saw Zena a five your old Sheppard cross on tv on Monday and immediately went to see her at the shelter. She was an amazing dog. Very loving and cuddly, played fetch like a champ. We had gotten another dog from the shelter, Murphy, just a little over two years ago and he is now a family member. Amazing dog and Zena would be a good buddy for him. Unfortunately we have to leave in a couple of weeks for Europe for two weeks, so the timing isn’t quite right for us. But if she is still there when we return, I can’t promise that she won’t be coming home with us. I really hope this sweet girl finds a forever home. She is primarily an outdoor dog, used to out door acerage life. She is just amazing, and any family that adopts her will be amazed at what a wonderful girl she is. Attached are pictures of Murphy the fella we took home two years ago. He just needs a buddy to share his experiences with. And Zena may just be the perfect fit for him.”

“Very convenient and one hall can be booked for less than $500 but this place needs some serious renovation/restoration. Sometimes they don't mention that if you wish to have Alcohol served at the party it can only be by the person designed by them and the alcohol they provide. Which can add to the cost quite a bit. Good enough room for Gathering of up to 80 people. The kitchen is included in the price and you can bring your own food.”

“My favorite thrift store. Staff is very friendly and helpful and it's always the same staff so you know they are happy to work here and it makes for a great atmosphere to shop in. The items are well looked over so that nothing broken or damaged is on the shelves. Great sense of community as even other shoppers will talk to you and give you opinions on items you are considering! Keep up the great work! This place just continues to serve the community with great thrifting. Prices are slowly going up.”

“Nice place to work and have fun time with cats. They are all very angelic. If you are only a cat person and not a dog person, then this place is not for you. Cat room is all surrounded by dog kennels. Some staff are also careless while hoovering around with dog they forget the cat room and volunteer in cat room. There is a possibility that you can be cornered by a distressed and aggressive dog.”

“I used to sleep there when I was on the streets, it's a shelter for intoxicated or users of drugs that want to give it a break for a while and have a place to come a sleep it off. They even have a detox upstairs where they feed you three meals a day.”

“Staff are very friendly. Shoppers were respectful to each other and great pricing for items. However, you will have to dig deep into the bins as most of the items are worn out.”

“Calgary Pride celebrations have come a LONG way in just a few years! The 2024 Pride Festival was amazing: best location ever, actually "something for everyone" and great attention to detail to meet the needs of a diverse group of people!
My suggestions of "areas to improve" = Pride Guide was difficult to read. I wish the Pride website included unofficial Pride events like the Dyke & Trans March. Thank you to all the Pride volunteers!”

Ban took the time to thoroughly explain all the programs and services available to seniors through the Government of Alberta, ensuring my parents understood their options and felt supported. Her patience, professionalism, and kindness made a significant difference, and I am truly grateful for her help. Thank you, Ban, for your exceptional service and dedication!”

“SMALL SELECTION, A BIT OVERPRICED
Not very much to choose from, I suggest calling ahead. They do have lots of art and clothing. Store wasn't too busy but you may have to make multiple trips to find specific items.

Many items were broken, be sure to check the back of artwork for damaged frames. One particular g had the while backing and hanging wire was destroyed and they offer 1$ off the 12$ painting...”
