If I could give negative stars I would. Awful customer service. Prices on single tall cans are 1 to 2 dollars more than everywhere else. It’s convenient for me but I still would avoid it.After visiting again and asking about the pricing the guy said all the stores do it! Honestly just go down 14th to the other stores on Northmount

This place is kinda dingy. It's the one of a million, cluttered little convenience store that you could find anywhere. When you go in, you wonder how little places like this even still exist, but in North Haven's case, I sure am glad it does. It's hard to tell if the floors are just un clean or incredibly old, there's so much product that it's impossible to find your way around. One refrigerator has a paper sign penned in sharpie with instructions on how to find the other refrigerators in the store that have some possibilities for what you might be looking for. Pop drinks? Dairy? -- Just follow the arrow to the back of the store. Along the way, you'll come across someone trying to leave and you'll have to back track all the way to the entrance again to let them past you. So, why the 4-stars, Dale -- What's your deal? Fact is, after chatting with the owner a little bit, I just want to spend my money here. He's friendly, he's genuine and he seems caught up in a world where Wal-Marts and 7-Elevens reign supreme. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that knows about the Yelp, the Twitters or the Instagrams... the only marketing he'd ever do is by focussing giving a customer a genuine smile and thank them for helping support his business. So that's where I come in... I want to see Calgary explode with all the coolest, trendiest hot spots, I want to share my experiences so people can find the best businesses - and in some cases the best isn't exactly as you'd expect. Sometimes, it's a friendly man in a cluttered shop, selling pop, chips and the general odds and ends to get you by if you live in the area. Probably still check the expiration dates on any perishables though...

What is going on in here?! I have never been in a more cluttered, confusing and overwhelming convenience store. It is so full that I felt I was pouring myself in between shelves and stands. It's like one thousand warehouses came together and dropped off their leftovers. Items are piled on top of each other and there's not much for rhyme or reason. However, if you really needed some random item, like a spatula or box of crackers, you might find it if you look for 10 minutes. I have the sense that everything in here is old, although I may be wrong. However, I wouldn't purchase a food item of any kind. I think I was most stunned by the porn magazines. I'm not sure how this place stays in business, but good for them, I guess. I didn't end up purchasing anything and will never try again. April Challenge: The Underdog 14/30
