I have always taken my car to boyd for minor and major repairs. I’ve always been very impressed and happy with the staff and work completed. I will always use them going forward. I’m very confused by the bad reviews posted: I’ve never had a bad experience there.

Contacted for an estimate to repair no-fault automobile damage for insurance company. Over two weeks later and these people, whatever they are doing, have still not contacted me back. There are better body shops out there that actually want the work, or have the manpower to meet their obligations. Instead they leave people in the lurch for no darn reason

DO NOT LET YOUR INSURANCE SEND YOU HERE. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. DONT DO IT.
This is the second time a Boyd had done a terrible job on my cars. Last time was Crowfoot, now the disease has spread south.
Someone backed into my drivers door, a seemingly simple repair. The first time they had me come down to pick it up, the panel gaps were appalling. No one had looked at it before signing it off, there’s just no way. I took it back.
The second time they called me to pick it up, the interior of the door wasn’t put back together properly. When you’d pull on the door handle (you know, the one thing on your door you use every single time you use your car?) the door card would POP in and out. Wasn’t put back together properly.
So I brought it back a 3rd time. I asked that the original technician not touch my car ever again, and to stop cutting corners, and taking shortcuts.
Well, after picking it up the 3rd time, the trim on the B pillar is loose, and now that I look at the paint job, the orange peel is AWFUL. when you look at a single light reflecting on 2 panels, it’s SO OBVIOUSLY WRONG.
No one at this or any Boyd will take care of you. They will get you in and out as soon as possible, because that is their culture. They have zero quality control, and that seems to be the way they like it.
I will be paying (out of pocket) to have my door taken apart completely, and put back together properly at another shop with the OEM parts my included in my coverage. OUT OF MY POCKET because I’m tired of these people cosplaying as autobody repair personnel messing up my car, and it’s my only option.
I will never. Ever. Ever step foot in another Boyd as long as I live, and I will be requesting Aviva remove them from their list of authorized providers.
Awful. 0/5 if it was possible. Learn from my mistakes.

The worst experience at an auto body shop. Ever. Take your business elsewhere. I was referred here from my insurance company as someone hit my bumper.
Attempt 1) they tried to return my car with bumps, chips and improper masking in the paint. They got white paint all over my black trim. The bumper wasn’t installed properly and the hatch was hitting it. They also left the interior and exterior of my car DIRTIER than when it was dropped off. I complained and they said they would redo the job.
Attempt 2) they tried to return my car the same day after I dropped it off. Upon inspection, it looked like they didn’t do anything. I was told they did not redo the paint job (left the bumps) and instead tried to chip off the excess paint that was on my black trim. I requested it to be repainted.
Attempt 3) I receive a call saying the third bumper is not taking the paint properly. And they’re ordering a factory bumper instead. I’m out of a car for a week and ended up taking Ubers/family members driving me to work
Attempt 4) car is returned to me. I had to pop in the fender myself. A part on the bumper is still coming off. Wow. Car interior still left dirtier than I dropped it off.
Overall, Boyd’s must have new graduates or they simply don’t care about their work. As a young female, I wonder if they were trying to take advantage of me.
I’ve told everyone in my circle and workplace to avoid this shop. What a headache. Not to mention the time off I had to take to repeatedly drop off/pick up my vehicle. My car was taken in June 4 and finished on July 15. Unacceptable.

Huge kudos to Carl Newton, the General Manager at Boyd's on 42 Ave SE. Our car was in for some, what we thought, would be minor repairs. Unfortunately it required a wiring harness that needed to be repaired and installed by the local BMW dealer. What should have been a 3 day fix took 2 weeks (I have no idea why) and, when Boyd's received the finished product our bumper was missing attachment screws and the wiring harness failed in the first two weeks. We took it to our repair shop for diagnostics and discovered the deficiencies, which we paid for and, upon taking it back to Boyd's, Carl immediately said we shouldn't have to pay twice for something that should have been fixed the first time. This was not Boyd's error but Carl arranged a replacement cheque for us and said he would try and recover the loss from BMW. Good luck, Carl. However, his absolute willingness to take it forward on our behalf and immediately issue us a cheque illustrates that taking the responsibility for "making it right" is not a customer service skill that is lost at Boyd's Huge thanks for modelling this level of leadership, Carl. It was deeply appreciated!!

Customer service while I have had my car I. Through insurance has been like pulling teeth. I’ve had to call to get my own updates when they kept reassuring me that they would keep in touch.
Updated May 28,2024* this shop has now screwed me over with my rental, saying that they tried to contact me when they didn’t. they have lied to my insurance to get out of this and now I will be switching insurance as this is their “preferred” shop. Absolutely disgusting.

They do quality work and stand behind it completely. I noticed a scuff in one of my doors, which was determined to having been preexisting, but they buffed it out for me anyways. Great customer service!

DON’T FIX HERE , RUN AWAY.
Unfortunately, I got a car accident and my insurance they send me here.
When I receive the car, it’s so painful for me because it was brand new but now looks like a secondhand. They are unprofessional team and I will submit a lot of attachment and take a look if you need to loose a car value absolutely they will help you..
I can’t give less than 1 star, I would like if it’s possible.
It’s shame on me to post a negative feedback, but this is a reality with my experience.

I hope the owner can see the quality of their work. Where is quality control before return the car someone. Been waiting to for them to fix their bad job but it’s been a while now. Don’t ask me to contact your manager. I got sent around and have to wait for approval from this person and that person. Insurance already approved to getIt done in the first place. This is a terrible job that Boyd had done and need to be fix but still need more approval.

I am going to be honest here. I had an insurance claim that was repaired by concourse collision that was then bought by boyds. The repair had started to fail and I returned to Boyd’s to have it fixed under the lifetime warranty. So first time it was in I got the van back with runs of clear coat. So I returned and they admitted it was not done right. Then they took it back in they knocked the runs down and sanded but never polished it. So you could see perfect lines. I gave up after this and had it polished out by another body shop. Both times the bad repair was very noticeable. I would not have made this review if it had been fixed after the runs. Everyone makes mistakes but doing a substandard repair a second time is an issue for me.I assume they did it as cheap as possible because it was under the lifetime warranty and this was not a money maker for them as it was under the warranty and the original repair was by the business they purchased not by them.

Lacking in customer service. Perhaps too big to care. Tried to get a quick quote on damage to my truck. They would not look at it without an appointment and the next appointment was 2 weeks. Yet I was the only customer in the office. It would have taken them 10 minutes to look at it. Anyway, just my opinion. I took my truck to Chrysler collision. They looked at it immediately and I had a quote in my hand next day. Guess who got the business.
