Wanted to give Boyd Autobody Royal Oak a shout out!! I had ordered some parts for my 2014 jeep jk and ultimately had to cancel the order. They not only helped get things straightened out but waved the restocking fee. Very appreciative of that around xmas!! Hope everyone at Boyd Royal Oak has a safe and happy holiday weekend!!!!

I took my car to this location for some repairs (recommended by the insurance company), repairs were done in 2 weeks, the 2nd day after I picked up the car I had an overheating light on and had to take the vehicle to the car dealership for assessment, it turns out the staff at Boyd didn't properly connect cables/sensors so the car dealer technical staff had to correct the problem for which I had to pay, I stopped by Boyd to drop off the invoice to get reimbursed because it was a quality issue on their side, this was more than a month ago, I called them several times asking for the cheque and there is always an excuse, they accounting lady is on vacation, we can't find the invoice but we will call you back, I actually talked to the manager and same story, I called today and again the paper work is now in main office but no timeline to receive the cheque or any other information, to me it looks like they just don't want to reimburse the money I had to pay to fix an issue caused by their poor quality of work, very frustrating, if you can, avoid this Autobody.

if u never want to see your car again… send it to Boyd! Started to forget what my car looked like from how long it took to get it back. Every day I would call, they’d say tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. Receptionist probably memorised my voice at this point from how much i’d call. My car was supposed to be done in about 9 business days (latest) and it took almost a month! Holy moly! Was stuck at home conversing with the walls. Called my car a “little” car and hate the way they would talk to me. Whatever I have my car now

My family had an incident with several Deer on the highway a few months back. Insurance were on the line with decision to repair and so were we.As someone in the trades, I can say with 100% confidence the workmanship completed by this Boyd location was top notch. The damage on the front end was extensive but everything is restored to a high level. Parts took a long time, but everything does currently, and I appreciate the approach to not cut corners and complete the job correctly.Thankyou GuysServices: Steering & suspension repair

Save your time and choose a different company. It’s really frustrating. They give you a date, but when you show up, they say they don’t have your claim on file and there are no parts. What’s the point of giving a date and asking to come in if they’re not prepared? And this is the second time it’s happened. It’s a complete waste of time.

This is just a comment but my insurance recommended this place but glad I took time to see the poor reviews. Do these people understand that people's livelihood and lives are in their hands? Hope the business fixes up and does better to stop these awful reviews. Sorry for the people who have suffered and too bad this business could have made such positive impact in stressful situations for people in our community that we depend on each other for.

He was just pissed because two customers before were also dissatisfied with their service too. Boyd management are bullies. They lie and the lack communication. possibly the worst service I've ever had. my car was sent here by the insurance company, they could repair it so it was sent to Fountain Tire in Crowfoot where somehow my cars rear hatch was damaged. the car was sent back to Boyd's, it took time for replacement parts arrive and once they did I was told they would have it done in 2 days, well 13 days later I get it back, with more damage! they never once called me I always had to call them for updates and etas on repairs. I left messages on their answering machine and still never received a call back.

((( W A R N I N G ! ! )))To the reader: If you are considering having your vehicle worked on at this shop, I implore you to find another shop at all costs!If you have a few minutes to read my story, among the multitude of other one star reviews this shop has rightfully earned, I hope to convince you to seek services elsewhere!I had the misfortune of being crashed into by one of Calgarys many inept drivers. They collided into my driver side front wheel causing damage to my door, quarter panel, bumper, and suspension. So my insurance said Boyd Auto was one of their approved shops and it happened to be close to where I live. First of all, it took them 20 days to finish with my car, on work that was estimated to only take 4 days. Luckily my insurance covered a rental so that I could still work. When I first went to them for the estimate, they refused to inspect any of the mechanical damage caused by the accident, saying they wanted to only do a wheel alignment before requesting approval from my insurance for further work. After the accident, there was a knocking noise coming from my driver side front wheel, where my vehicle was impacted. Now, I may not be a mechanic, but it stands to reason that if my wheel is making noises after being impacted by another vehicle, whatever part is creating that noise, was damaged by the accident!So when I brought my concerns to them, the manager there, Curtis, told me that I needed to have my tie rod ends replaced, but that they were "worn" and not related to the accident. So how can I argue common sense when my insurance is going to take their word over mine? Having no choice but to trust these guys, I paid over $800 to have these tie rod ends replaced out of my own pocket. After finally getting my vehicle back as pictured below, you can still see the damage on my bumper where it was scraped! However, being a work vehicleI don't care what it looks like, as long as it is mechanically sound and functioning. After a day of driving, the knocking noise was back. Being an independant courier, I need my vehicle to work, and as such, I have no choice but to keep driving if I am to pay my bills and survive. So after inquiring about the noise, which curtis told me they were having fixed, I waited 4 days for the shop they sublet the work to, to get a hold of Curtis who was not in at the time. He never called me, and that speaks volumes. Yesterday, something in my suspension snapped and I had to pay $200 to have it towed to a shop and the earliest they could schedule work on my car was in 6 days time. Again, I am an independent courier, so every day I don't have my car to work, I'm losing money. Thanks for that Boyd, and everyone who works there. Had I been driving on Stoney Trail or Deerfoot, or any other major road when this happened, I could've had a serious accident, and these people gave me back my vehicle, not knowing that it was unsafe to drive!Heed my words reader, this gang of sheisters have only one concern, and that is to squeeze you for as much profit as they think they can syphon from you. There isn't an iota of compassion to be felt for you, not a shred of pride to be had in their work, and not an ounce of professionalism to be found here. Whatever you do, you MUST NOT have your vehicle worked on hereJust look at their poor reviews!I was forced to have them work on my car as dictated by my insurance. Also, you should know that before I left my vehicle with them, they had a 2.8 star rating on google, with more reviews, and now suddenly they have a 3.9 star rating, which is suspicious to say the least.TO THE OWNER:Don't bother telling me that you're disappointed that your customer service was not up to standards unless you plan on refunding my $800.You know full well what you are doing here, taking advantage of the average persons lack of mechanical knowledge to convince them to purchase services they don't necessarily need to line your own pockets. Pretty scummy place. Severely overpriced, subpar work. They also lie their their teeth. Said they could finish in a week, took almost 20 days. They used too much of some stuff and now my car stinks badly. They also took my car out on a joyride. Scummy.

This shop took in our VW Tiguan and did an incredible job repairing the rear bumper and quarter panel. They even cleaned and detailed the inside of the vehicle. All work was completed on schedule as they initially estimated.
