“What an awesome collection of Christian/fantasy teen books! I never knew many of these books existed. The two ladies running the store were very helpful and described a bunch of them. When I mentioned a series I’d read once, they said they were always looking for recommendations and ordered it right away. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Calgary!”

Hard not to splurge on books, totes and bookmarks. Maybe it will help to sort the books alphabetically. But then I don’t mind asking the friendly and efficient staff.”
“Every time I come into Stash, I immediately feel right at home. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They’ve answered so many of my questions! The yarn collection is extensive, and I always find what I want (need? lol).”
“My experience at Cook Book Co. was truly exceptional. The store's curated selection of kitchen tools and ingredients, combined with the informative and enjoyable cooking class, made for a memorable evening. The chef and staff's friendly demeanor, attentive service and hard work further enhanced our experience. A special shout-out to Joe, whose enthusiasm, helpfulness, and humor made a significant impact on our small group of 2.
I highly recommend visiting Cook Book Co. to any foodie or aspiring home cook looking for a unique and delicious adventure.”
“Friendly staff and lots of beautiful crystals and metaphysical items including books, incense, tarot and oracle decks, and jewelry. The store isn't very big, but it's easy to lose track of time looking at everything they have.
This is a great local, independent business.
Prices on some items can be a bit higher than Amazon or big box stores, but not by much. I usually see a sale table in-store and they also have sales pretty regularly which are advertised in their newsletter.
I can almost always find parking out front or just across the street.”
“Great location, when you first arrive they’ll ask if you’ve been there before,if first time they’ll show you around all the various sections. Staff are super helpful and really good pricing.”
“We had a wonderful experience at the store. The clerk Linda was so helpful and knew all about the toys. As grandparents we are delighted to have a place where we can get well-made toys that are so thoughtfully curated.”
“Love! The book store is very homey and every staff member that I have encountered have been absolute gems!
Unfortunately I had to take off a star because they changed their closing time to 7pm during covid and haven’t changed it back! Please stay open later!”
“By far my favorite bookstore
❤️ I love it ♥️
It's wide, comfortable. It has a beautiful variety of literature and desk accessories, stationery (notebooks, diaries, pencils, etc.) I love it. Perfect place to give gifts.

“I consulted Cameron Treleaven concerning the potential insurance value of my personal collection of The Book of Mormon.
He was very generous with his time and shared insights regarding rare book collections as well as best practices for collectors including valuation.
At the end if our meeting Cameron shared additional references and invited me to contact him in the future with respect to matters concerning my collection.
I would highly recommend a visit to Aquila Books to view the store's extensive and fascinating collection of rare books.
Parking is conveniently located behind the store.”
“My go to for anything subject I enjoy reading about. If it's not in-store, their computer kiosks will allow you to hunt it down at other locations across the country.”
“Only Indigo in the entire city of Calgary that had a stock of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein which I needed for university. The selection in this store is impeccable! Thank you for saving the day Crowfoot Indigo!”

“Like many Chapters, much of the store has been turned over to the other products like kids games and toys, as well as their gifts and stationary section. There are still a lot of books here though, including one of the larger manga/graphic novel sections in the city.Fair's Fair is literally three blocks away though, a used book store with a massive warehouse and an even larger graphic novel section at a large discount. Unless you're looking for a brand new release, you may want to consider your options.”
“Very clean organized and spacious. Staff available always to lemd a hand and offer advice. Was able to get exactly what I needed with few extras. Would recommend a visit if you need anything!”
“This is my favourite book store anywhere. I have found so many treasures here, from graphic novels to books I’ve used in my teaching practice. The only thing I wish they’d carry are TTRPG’s. Owners, if you’re reading this and you’d like some pointers on what to carry, I’m your guy!”
