To the owner/manager of the Dollar Store:I am writing to complain about an employee who works in your store.I had come into the store and ordered 8 foil balloons for a birthday party. These foil balloons were picked out & purchased at the store. When I came back to pick up the order (about an hour later) – I did notice that one foil balloon did not look solid/filled with helium but still seems to be standing up in the air so I did not make a big deal about it. If the store has a camera, they can view to see that I actually stood at the front door before exiting their door and I was investigating the balloon as I was unsure why it was a little bit on the soft side in comparison to the other foil balloons. Next morning (Sunday) – I woke up to the balloon floating a couple of inches away from the floor. I knew at that point that the foil balloon was defective. I went back in the morning thinking this would be an easy exchange but rather the employee at the till (long/straight brown hair) informed me that they cannot guarantee foil balloons and that I am lying “that the balloon was perfectly fine” when I grabbed it out of the store. At that point I was very upset – I do not appreciate being accused of not telling the truth and to top it off – her attitude towards the whole thing was very negative. She did not care to help and was unpleasant in her customer service approach. I cannot understand why you cannot guarantee your own foil balloons? - The product was purchased from your store and should not be deflated by the next morning as it is a foil balloon and not latex. After going back and forth with her – she replaced the foil but it was such a hassle and unpleasant experience. Something that should have never been a problem at all became a nightmare over a $5.00 balloon. This person needs training on good customer service on how to speak to people with respect and pleasant matter. I did not catch her name - but she is the individual that works most Sunday shifts on her own - especially at opening hours. I come to shop at this store more than any dollar stores around the area but after this, I will not return because to me I can not justify spending my dollars here after being treated badly. I do however want the owner to know of this incident because a small store such as yourself should not have to lose business over someone who is not trained well enough to deal with customers.

It so nice to find a dollar store that not Dollarama, plus they will blow up your balloons. Prices can be high on some items, but you cant find most of this stuff any where else
