Just one word: overpriced. Staff is friendly and nice, but Global Pet Foods is ripping people off lol. Paid 20 bucks for a small bag of cat litter- mind you guys the same product is much cheaper at Petsmart ? I just had to get it there because I was in a rush.

I could not have asked for better service - Luca was helpful and Debbie was the expert with the solution to my feline not eating as she used to. Her suggestion worked wonders immediately!! My cat and I are so very grateful!! Plus I didn’t know they have Senior’s day on the last Tuesday of every month with 15% off so I’ll be taking advantage of that! Thanks again for everything!

I went into this store today to purchase 1 bag of cat litter for my boyfriend’s cat. She won’t use the litter box with just any litter and is extremely picky and I was explaining this to the ladies there about how picky this cat is. They had the brand I needed and yet they refused to sell me 1 bag of the litter because some other lady had asked them to put 2 bags on hold for her that she might pick up tomorrow. They proceeded to tell me I can drive to another location in Calgary that might have them in stock. I’m sorry, you won’t sell me a product that I’m willing to pay for immediately for the chance to sell 2 bags of it to someone else that might swing by tomorrow to get it. That’s ridiculous. I want to support local Canadian pet shops but I won’t be going back to this location because of how rude the lady behind the counter was to me. Pet Valu was happy to accept my business and I got the litter I need from them.

My go to pet store. Quick service and knowledgeable staff. The store is smaller but I've always found what I was looking for. The pricing for my dogs food was the same as another pet store in Airdrie.

Honestly the last thing I want to do is leave a negative review on a local business, and most of the sales associates are helpful and knowledgeable. However, our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Our vet didn't mention to us we needed to order the food through the vet, so we took the suggested brands to the store. The sales associate quickly told me the vet made a ridiculous recommendation, and proceeded to take me to a quinoa based food.. which he can't have, because he's diabetic. She then recommended a dog gut healing option for my cat to help heal his gut and cure his diabetes. Just discouraging and could have made our cat sicker.

Don't order anything online. Apparently everything on their website shows as "in stock" (or they're too lazy/technologically incompetent to update stock online). Further they won't bother calling or emailing to let you know your pending pick-up order is in fact out of stock and they have no idea when it is set to arrive.
