A friend gifted me a 7 day trial. My family and I loved it so much we got a membership. My kids have made friends in the kid zone and they love the pool. I enjoy the fitness classes, red light therapy, cryotherapy, sauna, and massage.

We love the variety and workout options here. Love the court, the pool, sauna, etc. But not worth the money. Furthermore, dealing with corporate and contracts is quite the pickle.

This is a great gym, good staff, good members. It's super clean and has everything needed to get to where you want to be...

Horribly expensive for old equipment and a moldy building. They're constantly painting and have mold mitigation going on. The pool playground is rusty and needs updating. Several machines in the cardio room are frequently out-of-service, and the ones that do work don't work well. The childcare is hit and miss, but the playground area and toys must not be cleaned often because our kids almost always got sick after attending.
Our experience with customer service there in general has been terrible. We've reported broken equipment before, and they did nothing about it. We had one of the employees get mad at our special-needs son for wearing a rash guard in the pool.
We got military orders on short notice and they're insisting we have to pay for another month because we "have to give 30 days notice". There was no compassion for our situation and they were very rude to us about the entire situation. I hope the $200 they're taking from us for that month makes a big difference for them, because it does for us! If only the military had given *us* 30 days notice that we'd be moving...

Close and accessible place to do a variety of exercises, the classes are great, and there is enough equipment that you're guaranteed to always do the workout you set out to do.

I’ve used the Alaska club at least three days a week for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The locker room and workout areas are always clean and the equipment is top notch and in good working order. I reccomend the wasilla Alaska club to anyone looking for a great place to work out!

JJ in membership was really nice and down to earth! It was nice to be in establishment that is family focused. We love all the amenities and they have a great deal for the new year! You won’t be disappointed. I’ve heard people comment on how costly it might be but with these long Alaska winters It’s important to invest in yourself! Thank you JJ for your encouragement We appreciated it!

The membership trap is not worth it. Save yourself some time and money and go elsewhere. Find a gym that is straightforward and honest with no hidden fees or requirements. Always read the small print and don't give them your credit card to put on file, giving a dishonest business your credit card makes life harder, and why do that?! Don't learn the hard way, take it from a pro who has fallen for their tricks twice. I take full responsibility for not listening to my gut the second time around but when your son is begging you to get a membership and the pfd sale seems ideal 15 years later and in a different town you think it might just not be an issue...well 15 years later, the business model is the same and the membership trap is alive and well.

Update: Lindi L. And staff appear to be not only be discriminatory; but sexist and reasonably chomophobic. She also follows people around this huge state and points them out. And yes, I know. It's worse now ,isn't it?
Although this reviewer is utilizing the latest in transcription technology, there may be typographical or grammatical errors which will not alter or effect this review, respectfully. Before appointment to be employed by this facility I already had reservations about doing so from local word of mouth, and was warned by a previous employee about this facility and ridiculously high membership fees. There was also speculation from prior instances of entities being briefed by people with hurt feelings. This prompted me to research this company prior to appointment, as I am. As we all know, if it's on Google or similar web based review platform It does not go away. If it does go away , it will definitely be reposted somewhere else.(And Most certainly must be taken as face value, and nothing in-between, right?)After research was diligently completed, and was found to be substantiated, I decided to look past these issues and give the facility a fair chance. After showing up early, I was greeted by front desk staff who were Straight up rude and were definitely not using their product. Their disgraceful interactions were not just with me either.I was informed that even though I was not there for membership I must utilize the apple product and sign in. The desk staff did not inquire why I did not want to use this device and did not take into account others religious beliefs. While under direct pressure from staff, and under duress I complied with their demands, but not to completion.Perhaps instead of employees being rude, discriminatory, and utilizing others past to be plain ignorant ,call to reschedule. If worthy, right?A message was received about drama and mishaps at this facility. It must be noted-at that time I was certain I would not be a member here or an employee at all.it's safe to say the feeling is mutual.Again greeted by unfriendly staff. But not before visualizing a porche, parked in the fire lane. Since you have a fancy car, you are entitled to park there because you deserve it because you are better than everyone else. Compensating?I was told to go to lounge and wait, and they had no idea where the staff was . I did not know where I was going, the staff was right where they were supposed to be. it was clear this facility does not scream Alaska at all. I will honestly state that my outhouse says Alaska more than this facility.I was then greeted with a smile, and told to "sit over there" (Hmmm, this reminds me of something) The seat I sat in and the floor surrounding was already equipped with sunflower kernels. Perhaps a test to pick up?It was odd appointment located in a common area, but also to see familiar faces in and around this area during this process. Most likely trying to gain information, and capture it on film. A large cardio theater area. The area was , at that the time under appropriate environmental control. The free weight area seemed out of place and understocked. I did not personally go through this area and was not invited to do so. The typical couple guys doing reps in front of mirrors, desperate to get results.the "family workout area",was more of a storage area for old, outdated equipment that can only be found in a storage locker or penitentiary. The HIT/functional training room was well stocked.I can just imagine a trainer I once had, "...and, row."Massage therapist (s?) do not resemble Hollywood. Well equipped locker room.the female who was in charge of babysitting was not identifiable. And should probably be drug tested. She has self injuries marks on her face that is indicative of a crystal methamphetamine user, not all inclusive.some items for sale here and this area seemed tacky, that it was put there because others had similar.Corporate Steve, you are fake and don't deserve to work there any more than I do.You care ab

Overall I loved my experience at the Alaska Club! My favorite things are the fitness and yoga classes. They really helped me stay on top of my exercise routine and the instructors are super fun and classy people. My daughter loves the pool and the monthly family fun nights. However, I do feel like there are a lot of “fine print” when it comes to the contracts and fees. So if you are planning on signing up I would recommend really asking a lot of questions and reading everything to understand it so there’s no hidden fees or confusion.
