Nice place, nice rooms. The service was great. Location is kind of hard to get to, When you're heading towards Walmart going south, you need to catch the right before Walmart exit.

Sncerely wish I could say lot of wonderful things about this hotel. I just can’t. Mostly it’s VERY old and unkept. Has not been updated. High price of $200/night too for only 1 queen bed - they do not offer kings. Sits alongside fast-moving highway that is difficult to get onto from hotel. Handicap parking - ONLY 2 spots. First look upon entering door is soiled very tattered entrance rug not to mention doors manual and super difficult to open so hauling luggage in is a trick! The younger staff not friendly, the long-timers were though. Decor around looked worn out, tattered. Hotel carried an old smell. No breakfast AT ALL. No insulation for room noise at all - we listened to man snoring loudly next to us by our heads every night - our wall vibrated to his snores! And maids working overhead early morning was impossible to rest quietly as they ran quickly across floors above or vacuumed. Given only 2 towels to start. 1 tiny balcony to view far-away mountains. Evening in-house restaurant food was good. No room service :(. I would choose other hotel if I had options. Only thing that was great was Krispy Kreme about 5 mins away! Unfortunately cannot recommend hotel.Rooms: Very old, chipped furniture. Tiny wall TV that did not move/tilt and was not visible real well from bed. Mini-frig worked well. No laundry bags to use. Couch old and broken down in seat. Small queen beds, no kings there ??. Old wall heat/A/C units that blow right into bed so air does not circulate around room.Nearby activities: Anything really good was an hour’s drive or more.Walkability: None, except 1 restaurant next door.Food & drinks: No room service. No breakfast of any kind ??

Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else. The staff was nice and helpful but finding bedbugs in our bed was a bad experience.

This place is a rip off accused us of smoking in the room which neither my wife nor myself smoked in the room and they charged us an additional $500. Be safe out there.

Location was great, opposite to roadside views are wonderful. The room was clean, laundry was a wonderful addition. As the evening settled in, the downsides started to show.*Walls are paper thin.*We could hear the neighbors all night long.*There is a table pool room down stairs and the music from that area played loudly till it was closed through the floor.*This one bothered me. Read on.We checked in at full price. No complaints, the price was comparable to other places in the area and they had laundry and wifi (I'll get to the wifi next) I got the kiddos settled in and starting to take showers while I got ready to do some laundry. While I am looking over the cute giftshop I over heard the front desk lady checking someone else in and say,"let's get you checked in, I'll give you the residents rate at *** price." It really upset me knowing that we had just handed her our Alaska driver's license to check in and she did not offer that to us. SO I said,"I wish I knew there was a residents rate, we handed you our Alaska ID and you didn't tell us about that." She just shrugged her shoulders and gave me a blank look. No sorry I wish I could change that for you but once it's final I can, next time. No, let me fix that for you! Nothing.*Now WIFI. I guess the wifi is only "garenteed" in the lobby. It did not work for me at all. Even she had issues and said she'd turn it into maintenance. Also, the TV with rokus in the room and no wifi to the room, you guessed it, no TV. She said if we want to use it we have to hot spot our phones to it and use our data to stream TV. That was a bummer. We don't have a TV in our home and that was one thing the kids were looking forward to was watching something on a TV. Sadly. They were disappointed. She did try to help us get to local channels, still didn't work. Is what it is, we went to sleep as best we could with the music through the floor and the neighbors TV going all night long.Over all, cute place, nice and clean but had a good handful of drawbacks.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. In our first room, the toilet clogged. I was told I could come get a plunger and that I’d also need to bring it back. There was no maintenance. The toilet ended up overflowing. They moved us to another room, but a king with a pull out bed instead of the double queen I had booked. It was not a big deal until I pulled out the pull out bed and it did not have ANY bedding on it and there was no bedding to be found. So we were moved to a third room. This room was awful, but we made it work. One of the beds was completely ruined. I will attach a photo. I was and am very upset over our stay. We were there for a gymnastics meet. The gym that hosted the meet was WONDERFUL and all of our friends and teammates said that everyone they had encountered in Alaska had been so amazing and nice. Unfortunately I did not have that experience at this hotel. ?

The hotel is beautiful and always clean and sanitary. I have had a few issues w the staff though. On many occasions(several different stays) the staff has been very rude and not helpful at all. I will definitely not be over charged and treated like a 2nd class citizen to stay in this establishment ever againFood & drinks: The bar attached to the hotel is really cool. Good drinks, food, and service

We thought we were getting a room with a kitchen, but apparently those are reserved for guests that are staying longer than we were and we were only there two nights. We were a bit bummed. The view is beautiful towards the mountains! But the windows might not be very clear and clean to see through. There is a strong smell of commercial fragrance like candles or plugins when you enter and throughout. Perhaps trying to cover the smell of past cigarette smoke? Conveniently located right off the main drag town with a restaurant next to the hotel, we didn't eat there though. They don't seem to have a hypoallergenic/ allergy guest protocol but staying on the third floor and having an air purifier plugged in the whole time definitely seemed to help. There is a little store in the front to buy gifts or gear to help keep you warm and that's nice. I took a few pictures through the clearest spots in the windows.

Walked into the room and it was about 50 degrees. Turned the heater on but it never got warm the whole time. The furnishings were old and worn out but the bed was comfortable. Booked a whirlpool room but the water stayed only luke warm. When we asked the front desk about the heater and the chilly water they just kept saying to wait for the boilers to kick on. Then when we asked about it the next morning they said there were a ton of people and the boilers aren’t big enough to keep up with a full house. Why would you rent out a whirlpool room if you know the boilers can’t keep up? The internet was so slow the tv wouldn’t even work. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but after a frigid night we just left the next morning. Not going there again.

Everything is average at the Grandview accept the veiw. Excellent veiw if you have a room on the backside of the building, but if your room is in the front of the building, the veiw is in a hole faced towards the highway. The building needs a renovation inside badly. Poor lighting, old smells and bad flooring.

The rooms are low quality barely any blankets. Nothing was plugged in including the refrigerator microwave or TV. And on my 2nd night here I asked The customer service agent up front if they had chargers available? She rudely looked over glanced me over and said no we don't and then continue talking to another employee behind the desk. She did not offer any help or assistance and I needed the charger for work I am here for business my job paid for this room. She is the rudest hotel employee I have ever met.

Front desk staff are nice. Rooms are clean. Back view is beautiful. One house keeper touched more than she should of but they handled it well.Rooms: Clean and roomy.Nearby activities: Close to shopping, food, and sights.Food & drinks: Bar and grill on the lower level.
