44176 Sterling Hwy, Soldotna“We just moved to Soldotna two weeks ago and have been to this Freddy's many times already to purchase major household items (a couch and chair, kitchenware, etc.) as well as groceries. It is THE BUSY SEASON on the Kenai Peninsula, and the store is always packed! Nevertheless, the store is clean, well-stocked, and well-organized. Special shout-out to the Customer Service personnel who saw us trying out couches and provided information and support that sealed the deal then and there; also to the produce department gal who heard me mention asparagus to my husband and pointed it out (we'd just passed it); and to the super helpful teenaged (?) checkout clerk who helped me scan coupons for additional savings. It's not easy to deal with a barrage of tourists all day every day, and this store and its personable and helpful personnel have made our move to Soldotna efficient and enjoyable. I'm glad it's my new hometown store!”
“I went into Olga's to get a prong tightened on my wedding ring set. A very friendly gentleman looked at my ring. I left it with him. He asked that I return in an hour. After 1 hour the prong was fixed, the bands were straightened and reattached to each other. The rings were also beautifully cleaned. I skied what the charge was for all of this work - nothing, enjoy your rings. I would recommend this jeweler to everyone. They are prompt, professional, courteous and priced right. Will be taking any other jewelry repairs there also.”
“Was able to visit Homestead Gifts on my last day in Soldotna/Sterling area. Absolutely loved the store, there were so many beautiful pieces and assorted gifts. I ended up buying a knife that was made in Alaska to remember my trip, but I enjoyed there was a great scale and variety of relatively inexpensive gifts to more high end quality purchases. The lady running the shop was so kind and I was glad I could support the business and area before I left. Also, the store is immaculate and very well organized. Check it out.”
