Great little motel, nice clean rooms. Good price, discount for state residents ??.
Safety: Fenced location with gate.
Walkability: All amenities are within walking distance.
Noteworthy details: Ample parking with room for small trailers. Quite location even thought right off the highway. Dog freindly with area for them to walk & potty.

This was the most horrible experience I have ever had with a hotel. I stay in hotel or motels almost every weekend for the past 5 years mostly for work, but travel for pleasure a lot as well. I have never run into anyone who is as rude and unreasonable as the owner of this motel. We arrived late and I went to the front desk around 11:30 pm to ask for some extra comforters. The show manager of our company
sent me down to get some. I asked the young man for some extra comforters. He seemed to have troubleverything finding them, and I said I would wait. Well, I found out later that he told his mom that I insisted he wake her for the comforters. This was an outright lie. She came to the counter all irate and angry wanting to know what I wanted the comforters for. When I told her she said she would not give me additional comforters and I could go stay somewhere else. I was in shock how someone could get so upset over being asked for a service. She proceeded to complain about the company I had just started with, and threatened to call the police if I did not get off her property in 10 minutes. She wanted to throw the whole group out. The company Hawaiian Moon, puts 4 0r 5 people in one room. But the show manager talked her into letting the others stay. I tried to find out her upset and apologize, but she just got angrier and threatened to call the police again. Even when I sent her the nicest text, she went crazy threatening to call the police. I can almost handle any rough situation as I am good at dealing with people, but this women was impossible. Never would I stay at this place or recommend it to anyone. I saw other reviews on yelp where she berated people for smoking outside the rooms. Beware of what you might say or ask for. You might get your head bit off. Stay away from this place!!!!! Unless you want the police called for asking for a comforter.
Rooms: These rooms were horrible, the owner was rude and took no responsibility when I asked the nice man at the desk for some comforters. Her response was completely a lie and I was told by the manager of the company that brought a blow up mattress for me to fet sone comforters. I have stayed in numerous moteks and hotels on a regular basis, work for a major airline and for the most part have always had good service. I personally cannot recommend this place and would sleep in my car before staying here. It is not even a 2 star. The worst part was the attitude of the owner Val. Luckily, I have a much better job and stay at 3 star and above hotels. You couldn't pay me to stay there. And she also lied about my job. I left the company due to misrepresentation that my expenses were covered. Since the owner was so rude and threatened to call the police over a simple request for more comforters I wasn't willing to pay for another motel. So I chose to stay at a hostel, far far nicer and enjoy Anchorage for a day before returning home. I got my dream job later as a flight attendant and have had raving remarks on my ability to handle others in difficult situation. Avoid if possible is my advice. In 30 years of staying at hotels every weekend this topped the list for the worse.

Loved our stay! Comfy, cute and clean rooms! Nice kitchenette. Flexible check in. Across the street from Big Dipper ice cream shop! Definitely would recommend!

Checked out Palmer AK for a few days. Lovely place to stay. Everything was closeby and just across the street is a great pizza place and ice cream location. They had thought of alot of the little things to make it a great stay. Very clean and comfy. Very attentive to guest needs and with smiles too!
Nearby activities: Trails and glacier walks within 5 miles.Within parking lot they have a sports rental location for bicycles and Winter sports equipment rentals. Safe to walk around Palmer too. Check out Palmer's visitor center. It's well worth it.
Safety: Everyone walking places. Very safe and no problems at all.
Walkability: Close to stores.
Noteworthy details: Kitchenette with fridge worked great for us. As a female I was impressed at the cleanliness of everything and the organic shampoo conditioner lotion and can you believe it...makeup remover wipes.

This is a WONDERFUL little place! Someone has put a lot of thought and effort into to this place. So cute, updated, and clean. More like a room at a families home than a “motel”. Complimentary snacks (and homemade cookies) on check in. Nice toiletries. Grey towels and sheets. Bed was super comfy. Will for sure come back if I’m in the area again!
Safety: As a solo female traveler - I felt completely safe here.

Fantastic pet friendly place in the Valley! I stayed here with my two dogs for a dog show at the Fairgrounds - so much easier than driving back & forth from Anchorage and reasonable priced! I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a clean and affordable place to stay in Palmer.

Well, actually I have not had a chance to stay here. My first reservation had to be canceled due to medical emergency. And my "second" reservation was a mix up. So why 5 stars you ask? Because they offer the absolute best service and didn't charge me for last minute cancelation when they had full right to. I can imagine staying there is delightful. Thank you Jeni.

We spent one night at the Pioneer Motel while travelling from McCarthy to Seward. Our room was modern and huge with a king size comfortable bed. We had a kitchenette with coffee maker and plenty of hot water. Service was great with free cookies provided in the office.
We would stay here again.

Super nice folks and very convenient. It's not a "fancy" place, but the rooms are clean, neat and comfortable. Great base camp for adventures in the Palmer area. Plus, they saved us in a pinch when we needed last minute accomodations due to the fires!!
Nearby activities: Tons of great trails within a short drive!
Walkability: So many nice restaurants and shops within very short walking distance. Extremely convenient.
