You have to do your check in at The Valley hotel before you go to the Colony inn so stop there first to save time . Nice room , my only suggestion would be to ditch that coffee make and put a K- CUP type of coffee maker for the guests to use . Within walking distance of the Palmer Ale House for dinner .

stayed here three times, rooms were good. There is no service at all because there is no front desk at this location so you'll need to go to the other location if you want something. One thing that is good is that the small fridge actually has a separate and working freezer. The room had no microwave. 1/3 of the channels on the tv do not work because it's not in their subscription. wifi is okay but during one of the stays wifi only worked if we sat right at the door. For some reason, the rooms we were in upstairs had windows that didn't open except for the small one in the bathroom. Normally this isn't a big deal, but we passed through there in July (2023) during that heat wave and the room was absolutely baking hot. ...it was so hot that i actually bought my own box fan to put in the bathroom window.Walkability: walking distance to a small business district, a little farther and you're at fred meyer and safeway.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be comfortable, but don't need all the extra amenities. It's in a superb location in Palmer and reasonably priced. Laundry and ice available. We would definitely stay here again!

Don’t make the same mistake I did. Most of these great reviews are for the restaurant, which is no longer open. We just checked in, which is done at their sister property down the road. Our room is on the second floor and is extremely hot. The windows are fixed, one piece, and do not open. They are aware of the issue because we were left with two small fans to keep us cool. One problem though, fans only move the warm air inside the room. Called the sister property to be moved to a different room that is not hot. All hotels by this owner are full. Front desk clerk called owner. Was told that new windows are on order that open, and also that they are having extreme hot days. NEWS FLASH! If your windows opened we could probably sleep comfortably tonight!!! It’s so hot in here and it’s going to be a long night…… So disappointed in this property. I paid for a room, not a sauna.

The colony and is part of a group of at least two hotels, with the Valley Hotel, 3 Watch away being the center. You actually check in at the valley hotel. The colony hotel is not easily handicapped accessible. There are several rooms on the first floor and more on the second floor. There is no elevator. In fact we were both recovering from various surgeries and spending two weeks in Alaska had a good deal of luggage so we had to change our original reservation for four days from the colony hotel to the valley hotel or we could get some help with luggage. On our return we were able to be accommodated in the first floor room in the colony and that worked out very well. The colony is actually a nicer hotel building. Apparently it had a café which is still in the building but does not seem to be operating. The location is excellent, right downtown in a park and close to everything you would want to go home. The hotel is in good condition, it is very clean, appears to be well-maintained and has a very nice living room area on the first floor. Our room was an adequate size, we saw several of the other rooms with large easy chairs, clearly with more space than ours but ours was just fine. The location was good and the price was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel for those reasons. I cannot give it five stars because most of the hotel, the entire second floor is not accessible to wheelchair or handicapped access.

My husband and I stayed here on 07/08-07/09. The hotel has a lot of potential, but I wasn’t impressed. The comforters were old quilts, which could have been cute, but were stained. The bathroom was small and the tub was stained yellow. The furniture in our room was old, stained (especially the chair). The carpet not only in our room but the main part of the building as well had stains. The cafe/restaurant was closed and is closed indefinitely it seems. The staff was super nice and I can’t really complain too much as it was only $106 for one night. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have other options.

A neat piece of Palmer history. Perfectly located next to all the shopping and eating in downtown. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Mostly a quiet place but the clicking and knocking of the heat and sound of the washer starting at 5am were a bit disruptive to sleep. This would not be the best place for those with limited mobility or who might have trouble getting into the DEEP tub!

When I checked in the amount on my invoice was incorrect, online I booked a room with taxes at $85, but my invoice said $95. I corrected them and said that it was wrong, pulled up my online payment and showed it was $85. But they told me I paid $95 and insisted multiple times that they were right. I said okay if thats what you think I'll just go to my room and check my credit card bill later and complain to management to get my $10 back. But heres the kicker!! at 10:45 PM the phone rang in my room telling me that they put me in the wrong room because I only paid $85! I could not believe it. But then they reassured me that I can stay in the room that night and that they moved other people around. The staff did not seem to know what they were doing. Other than that the room was fine for its price although the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Also, you have to check in at another hotel, so keep that in mind when you arrive. I would not recommend this place to a friend, an AirBnB is only $10 more and is probably way better

Stayed at Colony Inn for three weeks. Great location, comfortable room, quiet and amazing staff. Brenda and Michael made sure my stay was comfortable and made me feel like family. Thank you. Will be back.
