This site is divided into a North and South side by a bridge. I'm not sure if my experience was such be cause if the late nature of the season, but it was awful. We tried both the North and South sides. It was only September 11th, but the most of the toilets had been nailed shut, and the ones that were left open were absolutely filthy and smelly... so bad it would gag a skunk. The site it self is very awkwardly setup with almost no amenities. With so many other amazing places along Sterling for hiking, fishing, and photography, I can think of NO reason why anyone would choose to stop here. PASS.

Amazing place to hang out on the beach and watch bald eagles. Also great views of the Ring of Fire volcanos in the area. Sea otters are fun to watch too. Make sure you pay for your parking space, they will give you a ticket.

They have an eagle that has a favorite post right by the road. When it sees something of interest he/she takes off, but comes back to the the same post! Got some great photos. (FYI, four stars for too many potholes)

Great beachside park with HUNDREDS of Bald Eagles in the marshes, along the beach and in the air. This is THE place to go if you want to see eagles.
