Rainy Retreat Books is a charming, used bookstore that offers a delightful browsing experience. With its literary-themed decor, including jigsaw puzzles and bookmarks adorning the ceiling, the store exudes character. The staff is consistently praised for their helpfulness and welcoming demeanor, including the occasional appearance of a local bookstore pupper dog. The selection covers a wide range of topics, from Alaska reference books to beautiful notebooks and stationery. While finding specific titles may be a challenge due to the store's small size, it serves as a wonderful place for a quick browse and the discovery of hidden literary gems at reasonable prices.
Located downtown it is a lovely bookstore with new and used books. The prices start at 4.95 dollars. It is not a big space but has a good selection of books. The staff are very friendly and it is localy owned. It was one of my favourite places during the months I was stopping in Juneau.

Such a cute and fun used/new bookstore, friendly owner, adorable dog Mabel hanging out. I could’ve spent hours in here and been perfectly content. Vibes were 10/10. I will be back anytime I visit juneau
