The "JAHC" has a new progressive young director as of 2023. It's on a tourist track, yet I never saw any stop unless they had an event. I liked the front area where you can chill at the picnic table behind the 2 food trucks.

Very well run rehabilitation unit, with recovering hawks and eagles as well as non-releasable residents (eagles, owls, and a raven). Veterinary care on site. The short tour is ... short, but informative.

The JAHC is a GREAT facility. From live concerts to local art exhibits and displays, and a gym where I love to play pickleball. I also shop here for gifts made locally.Hopefully our new City Hall design will include the JAHC and a community center.

It is currently a warming center. They can provide food, shelter and even a ride in some cases. It's just a bunch of cots in a wide open room. Nice people helping weary travelers and folks in need.

If you ever rent the facility ASK about whether or not there is charges for anything you are using. And I mean everything. There were hidden charges and the rental ended up costing way more than we thought because of hidden fees. I do not recommend them and will never rent from them again in the future.
