This was a fantastic shop to hit and we bought some beautiful handmade jewelry from local artists and a painted ceramic piece. The staff was very friendly and helpful and prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back next time we visit.”
“A one of a kind, must-see shop that specializes in enamel pins and zipper pulls. Best part is that they’re affordable!Such a unique gift from Juneau! How awesome are they? NY Times & Smithsonian awesome!”
“Visited the shop while traveling. Sales lady was extremely nice. Only bought one bar to try...... wished I'd bought a bunch. Made my skin very soft and it had a light fragrance which I loved. Highly recommend this shop!!”
“Good shopping place. A number of items were less expensive here than in Ketchikan. Some of the new shirts by the door were more expensive. Love the place mats that say alaska and have great images. Get them here.”

175 S Franklin St, Juneau“I was so happy to find this shop at the end of the day on our cruise. I'd been looking for artwork, souvenirs or anything really that was actually made or from Alaska. It seemed most shops were full of items made abroad and just stamped Alaska - I didn't go to Alaska just to buy products I can buy in Vancouver! This store had a great variety of mostly Alaskan products so we ended up with most souvenirs from here. It was a bit pricey but overall we really love what we got!”
“Nestled in the heart of Juneau, the Alaska Juneau Mining Company is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. From the moment you step inside, you're transported into a world of wonder and adventure that's impossible to resist. This store is not just your average gift shop – it's a haven for those seeking unique treasures that capture the spirit of Alaska. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a breathtaking display of apparel, souvenirs, and curiosities that celebrate the essence of this beautiful region. From intricate handcrafted jewelry that sparkled like glacier ice to rustic wooden carvings that seemed to whisper tales of the wilderness, every corner was a testament to the rich culture and history of Alaska. And then, there it was – the Creative Unicorn Beanie that stole my heart. A burst of color and whimsy in a corner dedicated to hats, this beanie was a true work of art. Soft pastel hues blended seamlessly to form the majestic unicorn, its mane flowing like the Northern Lights. It was a piece that not only warmed my head but also ignited my imagination. The Alaska Juneau Mining Company doesn't just offer products; it offers experiences. The way they've curated the space, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements, creates a sense of enchantment. It's a place where you can lose yourself for hours, discovering treasures that speak to your soul. The staff, much like the store itself, exudes warmth and friendliness. “I visited Juneau and Bald Eagle Gifts & Jewels on Thursday 10/24/24 onboard the Norwegian Jewel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They had a great selection of art, knifes and jewelry. The lady who helped us worked at the store with her uncle and they were both extremely knowledgeable and eager to engage with customers. The reason I leave a 4/5 stars is due to a complication. I purchased a combo deal for $350. Which included a Damascus steel Ulu knife with an engraved scrimshaw handle and a regular style knife also engraved (pictured below). She was extra kind to wrap the knifes and whale take my wife selected and packaged for us to take home. However, I don’t think the ULU knife made it into the bundle by mistake and I’ve now lost a $200 blade. If the management would reach out I’d like to have the blade shipped home and I’d be happy
To give 5 stars as the service was great! Just bummed out!”
“What a wonderful true Alaskan store, full of local goodies!! Real local culture and artist gifts and collectibles. They were about to close when we walked up, and the adorable girls (Ava and Nakaiya) said, no hurry, please, come in!! They explained about the different products offered and I found the perfect gifts (for myself ?) We travel to Alaska annually and looking forward to getting back there!”
