This is a truly beautiful inn with a spectacular view of the mountains across the bay. We frequently saw otters in the water right out in front of us. Our room was lovely with a picture window overlooking the water.The room is extremely comfortable with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, 2 coffee makers and other amenities. We loved it here. My only regret is that we did not have a car and depending on taxis can be frustrating.

I left a piece of my heart here. The views of the ocean and the serenity of this property were beyond words. Mr. King was so gracious and helpful. He certainly treats his customers right.Rooms: Decor was beautifully done. Not missing a thing.Nearby activities: The spit is very close. The location is quiet and peaceful but food and grocery store are not far away.Noteworthy details: The Inn couldn’t have been more perfect. The thoughtfulness was evident in every detail from hand rails to popcorn by the microwave. Chairs overlooking the ocean view and a hot tub. Oh and how did you get the bald eagle to fly over. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. I definitely hope to come back someday.

White House and was incredible. Loved everything about it. I would definitely go back and I will suggest it for anybody who’s looking for a quiet very comfortable experience. Thanks for the hospitality.

I cannot rave enough about The Halibut Room at The Whitehouse Inn. Two luxurious bedrooms, three huge flat screen TVs, stunning waterfront location and views, and having coffee with four eagles in the tree next to you every morning. What more could you need?

We had a wonderful stop in the middle of our Alaska Journey, here at the White House Inn on the beach. The views from our front porch, the lawn, and the hot tub were unparalleled and required nothing more of us than a hot cup of coffee and perhaps looking up from our books. Alaska is so filled with adventures, we welcomed the deeply quiet nights, the site of the moon coming up over the mountains, and the chance we had to reflect before a moment before going on to bear viewing, gallery gazing, and gourmet meals in Homer.

We absolutely loved everything about the room. The location is perfect and the views are amazing. We stayed in the halibut room and it had a kitchen so we were able to make our own breakfast and lunches. We were sad to leave, the place had so many personal touches and the owners were accessible at all times. We would definitely return.

White House Inn was a beautiful property with well appointed and comfortable rooms close to the Spit and other activities in Homer. The host was very communicative and responsive. We loved it, and when we return to Homer, we definitely plan to stay here again.

We hate to leave! Beautiful room tastefully decorated overlooking the water. Just perfect! Convenient to restaurants and shops and a two minute drive to the Homer spit.

Stay here! Right on the water, very comfy room and amenities. Two bald eagles living/staying in a tree on the property just add to the magic of this place.

This place was such a nice property - beautiful location right on the water with a private beach, very comfortable and well-appointed room, and communicative hosts make this place such a great find. The property is located near all of the activities in Homer as well. When we return to Homer, we definitely plan to stay here again.

Room was clean, comfy, well decorated. Many small amenities in the room that make the stay pleasant such as coffee, toiletries, bath robes, extra pillows and blankets, etc. The property is beautiful!! Covered area with a grill, large yard with many chairs, and working hot tub. Stairs down to the bluff made it seem like our own piece of the beach. Service is very prompt and accommodating.

What an AMAZING home and accommodation. Originally booked two nights, but immediately knew when we got out of the car that we needed to stay longer (extended that to three with no issues). Communication was excellent as well. Obviously come for the views , but the addition of the hot tub, Adirondack chairs, and soft beds made this one of the top places we’ve ever stayed. Although it was fun in town, you’d be perfectly happy sitting and watching the tide come in and out from the living room or large park type yard. There’s no negatives, and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy this home again.
