What a delightful hotel! Quiet, clean, and great, I mean GREAT! view of the water. There was a nice picture window with a small table/chairs next to it that made eating breakfast or lunch a joy. You can also see the St. Augustine volcano from there. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful! Room looks right out at the water. Great little balcony with a bench for enjoying the view. The room was well maintained, clean and the beds were so comfortable! Easy walk to restaurants, groceries, etc.

Older rooms, but clean and nice. If you are on the first row of rooms like ours the view of the bay is phenomenal!!

Very nice place. My only complaint was the bed was not comfy. Otherwise the place would have gotten 5 stars. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.Walkability: Trail down to the beach

Wonderful place to lay your head for the night - that doesn't cost an arm & a leg. :) We had room 46, which I highly recommend as it is a corner room, opens up to the lawn and is facing the water. Just a few steps away from the path that leads down to the shore - where you can beach comb forever. There are rooms with balconies, as well. Great views. The owner is super nice. There's a REALLY good (new) restaurant with a bar within walking distance called "The Kannery" - HIGHLY recommend it for lunch or dinner. The Pork Bowl was DELISH!Another REALLY good place - also within walking distance - The River Cafe, open for breakfast &lunch. BEST bacon breakfast sandwich EVER! :)

What a awesome little hotel. The accommodations were spotless and the views were spectacular. Walking distance to grocery, restaurants, bookstore, laundry, liquor stores. Short cab ride to spit. So relaxing here and peaceful. Room had a little fridge and microwave. Short stroll down to beach. It is a older hotel but what a gem!

I highly recommend this little inn. I had read some reviews that called it dated, but that's part of its charm! The lock uses an actual key, the microwave controls are rotary dials and it worked great, I would love it in my own kitchen! Most important, everything was very clean and well-maintained. No worn out carpet or dinged up furniture, the beds were very comfy with surprisingly high quality bedding and towels, and the location is ideal. Short walk to excellent restaurants and easy drive anywhere yet it's also very quiet at night. Best part is the ocean views and trail down to the beach where you can walk along the shore and enjoy an AK sunset. Try to get the lower side building for unobstructed views, but even in the upper building where we stayed, the view was wonderful, per photo.

Hubby and I stayed in room 59, father with limited mobility stayed in room 60- in the row of rooms back from the ocean as that's all they had available when I called to book. The room itself for Dad was fine for handicap accessibility, including walk in shower with a fold down bench for him to sit on. However, the exterior was a little wonky for us on that issue. The wheelchair ramp is on the far end of the deck/boardwalk that goes across to each door for the motel, from street end. Dad's room was on the end closest to the RV park side and you're supposed to park in the small parking area in front of your room door. Parking area is loose gravel. We made it work for 2 nights but updates could be done to the rooms, the beds were quite stiff for our comfort, views were nice, but the handicap access from parking area to the rooms needs improvement. The steps (with hand rail) from parking area to deck/boardwalk to rooms were also quite steep, even for me in my late 30's, while trying to haul in luggage.

Pros: - cute place - great views - has a fun old school feel - wonderful restaurant, green can, next door Cons: - it is dated in a cute way, but needs some cleaning and refreshing. Ex moldy ceiling in bathroom, dented and scratched up furniture.

What a neat place to stay with really comfortable beds and a great view. Really easy to get in and out and close to the Spit and everything else, including the Green Can restaurant which was incredible. There's a patio out back by the beach with chairs which is so nice. Mike, the owner, was just a doll and so accommodating. Vicki who also worked there is amazing and knows everything about the town of Homer and gave us great suggestions on where to go. The rooms we got were super clean and the parking is simple and free. Will absolutely stay there again on my next visit to beautiful Homer,

This is a great little place. Everything you need, clean and comfortable. Owner and staff are very accommodating. He could charge more for the rooms. It’s also a great location and the little trail to the beach is lovely. And the views are amazing
