We were pleasantly surprised we had a one-bedroom with a full kitchen. We liked having the separation since I'm usually up early. Lila and Paula (think that is right) were very friendly and responsive. We extended another night. It is not fancy and a little dated but was clean and comfortable. Location was good as well.

I was the perfect little spot for a 1 night sleep. The bed was very comfy and the room was quiet and quaint.

Stayed in the room with 3 beds. The larger bed was in a private room. It reminds me of a small apartment layout; very comfortable and everything you'd need.

Lila is the best host you could ask for. Thie room was just what we needed the night before our fishing trip. Great views and a nice location.

Amazing!!! The guest house was perfect for our family. Everything was easy and Lila is wonderful and very quick responding to the all of our questions. I would highly recommend this place to stay in Homer!!!

What a gem! The Pioneer is an older hotel but, well cared for. The room was very clean, contactless check-in was easy, and in an excellent location. We appreciated all the information Lila left in the room about restaurants, shopping and activities. Very helpful. We highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved the suite! Plenty of room, very comfortable and neat and clean. The view from the room was fantastic! Felt like home away from home! Conveniently located, too.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pioneer Inn. The room was neat and clean, the instructions on checking in and out were clear. Instruction on using the TV and the temperature controls were clear. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable. We had all that we needed in the room. The Inn was a short drive to everything that we needed to get to. If we ever get back to Homer, we would definitely stay there again. We highly recommend it!

The Pioneer may not be perfect, but it feels more like home than a big brand hotel and the folks are more than accommodating. I really enjoyed place and will stay there next time I'm in Homer.

Clean rooms, and Lila was very friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice reasonably priced place to stay.

Lila was our amazing host for our 2 night stay at this lovely Inn at Homer! The location is perfect. It’s close to The Strip, great restaurants, Safeway for groceries, and stunning view outside our windows! Our room was jammed pack with wonderful amenities : coffee, tea, hot chocolate, an abundance of toiletries. Our room was particularly warm and cozy ( we experienced chilly weather even in July. Lila helped us with reservations for a terrific restaurant called Fresh Catch ( we highly recommend!) .She is an exceptional host. Alaska is an expensive venue for sure but the Pioneer Inn is very reasonable for a really lovely place. We loved our stay . We have already recommended it to friends coming next summer . Book a room! You will love it!
Nearby activities: Great restaurants on the nearby Strip.The Fresh Catch is amazing and The Salty Dawg Saloon is a must see. All are a few minutes away from the Pioneer Inn.
The Duncan Diner is 1 minute away where we had a fabulous breakfast

We loved our stay here. Everything about the Pioneer Inn is so well thought out. From the initial contact with Lila to the check out process, they make you feel like family. There are weekly recommendations printed out and kept in the room along with a binder of all things Homer. The room was clean, comfy, and large enough for our excessive luggage. She even sent rainy day suggestions during our stay. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend.

The Pioneer Inn is ideally located with a beautiful view of Katchemak Bay & the mountains beyond. Lila is a most gracious host and couldn't have been more helpful. The room is clean, the beds comfortable and has a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely stay here when we return.
