Dave was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! I called from Seldovia, and he was extremely cooperative in agreeing to look my old truck over despite being very busy. He gave me honest and thorough advice before working on the vehicle, and although I decided to not put the work into my old truck, I would without a doubt go to Dave to get any work done on a vehicle!

I am beyond upset with them. if I could give a negative! my mother's spent a LOT of money on trying to get they're car fixed & as soon as they took it back it broke down!! IMMEDIATELY after.

Dave’s Auto provided one of the greatest repair experiences I’ve had. I called early in the morning and in detail, we discussed the issue at hand. As I had the replacement part on hand, he was able to get me in immediately. Through the entire repair process, he explained what he was doing and why, and allowed me to be a part of the process. Dave will be my go-to mechanic from now on!

On May 22, 2023 I filed a Small Claims suit against Dave's Auto for $1,169.69. This filing was after repeated requests to settle our dispute outside the Court, requests which Dave's Auto refused to consider.On November 29, 2023 Small Claims ruled (case # 3HO-23-00024SC) that Dave's Auto owed me $419.95.As of February 13, 2024 my requests for payment have been entirely ignored by Dave's Auto.Dave's Auto is demonstrating neither honest business practice nor proper respect to the Court's decision.

I called Dave right when he opened and he picked up immediately- he got me in an hour later to help me diagnose the issue with my car. He diagnosed the issue in under 20 minutes, showed and explained to me what was wrong, and gave me timelines/fair quotes on everything. A friend offered to help with the job so I didn’t end up working with Dave, but he was super friendly about it! I will definitely go to him in the future for work on my car!

I will never take my vehicles anywhere else! Dave is thorough and transparent: he did some serious work to diagnose an issue other auto repair shops couldn't figure out. As he went, he explained everything that he was doing, and why. It was an educational experience! After enjoying several days in Homer, my husband and I were about to drive back home when our van RV refused to start! Very quickly, a wonderful holiday turned into a stress event with trying to get service on a Sunday! Fortunately for us, Dave overheard our plight while at an auto parts shop I had contacted and offered to come take a look at our situation. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and professional and set us immediately at ease. We knew were were in good hands and indeed we were! Not only did he perform our repairs, but went way above and beyond by delivering the working vehicle back to us at our hotel! We have always enjoyed visiting Homer but this experience really elevated our appreciation and enthusiasm for this lovely town!!! I drove in from Anchorage for a weekend. My truck started acting up in just before Anchor Point. I was referred to Dave's by a local business owner. Dave is hands down the best mechanic that I have had the privilege to use in the state of Alaska. He was prompt, informative, and very forward. His work is clean and he is very knowledgeable and very good at communicating what his findings were. I even plan on bringing my truck in from Anchorage for continued service.
