Sentry Hardware is one of my favorite stores. If you can't find something hardware related they probably have it at Sentry. The last place I know of you can buy nails or screws by the pound.

I am new to Alaska and wanted to get some gear to fish and such I asked the young girl at the counter for help and she looked up at me as if I owed her rent money rolled her eyes and pointed to the guys working where the guns were. I walked out not even wanting to see the amazing things they had on display in that store.

This place is a great place to go that has a little bit of everything. Some items are definitely a little bit on the pricer end, but not everything. I have been surprised in the past at the fact that they were competitively priced with other sources, especially being a smaller locally owned store. Also great selection of hardware and fasteners.

The sentry team is always helpful anytime I have been helped or seen them helping out another customer. Thier knowledgeable about different tasks and their inventory. If they don't have it, they will help you find it. Plus, they are super friendly and courteous beating out Home Depot and Lowes customer service out of the water.

Sentry definitely has the best selection of fasteners. They did end up not having the exact ones I needed, but the employee helped me find a good substitute.

Sentry has a great selection of items and usually those odd ball items you just can't find anywhere else. However, they say they are open until 7pm but they lock one door at 6:45pm and then lock the second door at 6:55pm. I have watched this on two separate occasions and numerous customers coming to the door at 6:55 and can't get in. If you are going to post hours, you should follow thru with those hours. It is very frustrating to get somewhere and the doors are locked before the posted hours.

This is a good old hardware store. The way hardware stores used to be. The abnormal little things you need when you need them Fendi people to help you find what you need. Not to mention you have frontier above .
