They messed up billing my secondary insurance and cost me several hundred dollars that I should not have had to pay. They are refusing to fix their mistake, and they are blaming me when they literally gave me misinformation about why my secondary wasn't being billed when they just did it incorrectly. They told me to resubmit to my insurance myself, but that is not legally possible with my insurance. We have talked to the store director and pharmacy manager and are still working to get this issue resolved after months of back and forth. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs.

Couldn't get them to answer their phone. Tried three locations for three days in a row

This pharmacy is horrible. No one ever answeres the phone. I live far from town and try to call for an update about my prescription and for three days now no one has answered the phone or called me back. I even contacted Safeway main line and spoke to three different managers about this. No one has STILL ever called me back. And they dont give a shi. So now tomorrow I get to go to town to speak with someone about something that could have been done over the phone. This is life after the coronavirus. No one really cares about their job anymore.

I've always had great customer service through the Safeway pharmacy. We get texts letting us know when our medication is ready and calls if something isn't right with insurance or there are issues with the prescription. I've been to Walgreens and Denali pharmacy previously and there's no comparison.

Reliable, fast, but liars when it comes to vaccines. "It may hurt a little bit within the first 24 hours." This means I should be in mild pain I can ignore or may not even notice. This is a lie. They should have said "this will make our arm feel like you have a knife in it for 24 hours.". I've been stabbed before. I know what that feels like, and it feels like this. Guys, you need to tell people the truth. I'm in too much pain to drive now, and if I'd known I'd have gotten GOOD painkillers before leaving the store. Instead, you said tylonol would be enough. Wrong. This is a job for something in the neighborhood of morphine.

Safeway is bad about racial profiling and treated me ( grown old Alaska native) like I was going to steal deli food. The clerk wouldn’t let me even touch the bags of food! She said “ I’ll meet you at my register “. I said, you mean I have to pay for it here?, I’m not done shopping yet. I pointed to the men ( white) walking away from the deli counter with their food and said that they were not forced to pay for the food first. I told her she was a racist and she said “ well fine then “. I took my food, 3 corn dogs and jojo potatoes and went to the medicine aisle to get what I really stopped by Safeway in the first place for, I got the cough syrup and went to find the manager and told her how I was treated. The manager said that she was going to have a talk with the clerk and for some reason didn’t charge me for the deli food. I’m an Alaskan native! I’m not a thief! I’m not a drunk ! I’m not a drug addict! I’m a human being and I want to be treated with respect when I’m spending money! I was treated like a shoplifter because of the color of my skin! If people want to keep treating me this racist way then they don’t need a job and Safeway doesn’t need my money ! All money is green and all blood is red!

Just wanted to give big kudos to the cashier I had last night at east side safeway. In fairbanks Alaska. Her name was Lola P. We had gotten all the groceries for Thanksgiving dinner only to find out that there were no turkeys !!!!! Llla overheard my disappointment and said just wait. She disappeared for a couple minutes and miraculously returned with a 20lb. turkey somehow. She's the best!!!!! I hope she has a great Thanksgiving, she deserves it. Hope she can get this message. ?❤❤❤

We just had the most fabulous field trip led by assistant store director Laura. Everyone so happy, kind, and generous with our group of 15 preschoolers.
